Wednesday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
My husband has the ability to get showered, dressed and ready to go in 15mins! smhair My daughters on the other hand, take about an hour to get cleaned up. Myself? 1 and a half. That's right! My hair alone is 45mins. (All I do is blow dry it!)
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

If I'm moving okay and not having a lot of pain takes about an hour.
but I don't shower everyday, as a bath is easier, so about 20 minutes for the bath,
10 minutes for poptart and medicines and 30 minutes for make up and combing
hair, checking on kitties and I'm out the door...I have specific days I do my hair
and I take it easy about 1 hour to shower good and blow dry/curl hair and use moistiziers.
and I always try to get my clothes out the night before, which really helps...

Hmmm, let's see... I get up at 5:45 AM, quick shower, get dressed, dry my hair, take my medicines, feed the kitties, check the potties, and out the door by 6:35 AM.
Most days I'm stepping in the door of my job by 6:40 AM. :)

An hour and a half if I bother to shower, make-up, do hair, and put on decent clothes.....otherwise, about 5 minutes to half brush my hair and drag on some baggy clothes for the day. It all depends on the day and how I feel.

It depends, and usually not on how I am feeling, but on how long I have my hair.

If I keep it real short (ie buzz cut or slightly longer) then in the morning I can be ready to go in about 5 minutes or so.

If it is somewhat long then about 15 min.

The 10 min difference is having to wash it in the morning.

I take my showers at night before bed. The mornings are for the wife and kid to get ready and usually while that is going on I am fixing breakfast.
