Thank-You skeye!

I have to report to the hospital surgical section Monday morning, I have member from church taking me in. They told me I would be in a minimum of 3 to 4 days, as this time they are going to go through the back of my neck, according to what they showed me the incision will be vertical up the center of my neck, and the brackets and graft will be on boths sides of the vertebra. They are fusing the articular joints at C-3/4 and maybe C-4/5 depending on the condition of the bone. While I am in the hospital,  I will find out if I am going to have to go to a rehab or nursing facility for a few days after I am discharged.  As this time I do not have some one there to help or take care of me.  Anyway I do hope that this will at least take care of the pain in my upper neck and the back of my head! I am praying that it might also take care of that gagging and retching problem that is so very, very, hard to deal with!  I know the pain in my lower and mid back is something that I will always have to live with, as they will not touch the herniated and torn disk at T-12 nor any of the bad Thoracic disk,. But I just look at it this way if they can fix this and it give me relief, like the one they fixed last year, (as soon as I came out of surgery for that ACDF at C-5/6 all my arm pain was gone!)  Well if this surgery takes away the neck and back of head pain, then that is a super big plus to me! It is just one less pain that I have to endure! You know, you just do what you can, and like we used to say in the military, the rest you just "Grin and bare it!!"  But Please keep me in your prayers on this one, because  honestly you guys are all I have this time!  I will try and post as soon as I can while in the hospital, and let you know how I am.

May Peace be with ALL of YOU!

Hi, White Beard,
I've not been communicating much in the past few months. Too overwhelmed. So I don't know all the details about what's happening with you, but I can guess from your response here that it's another cervical fusion. I know you had been looking into that awhile back.

I want to wish you all the best - a successful surgery, speedy healing (as realistic as it can be - and you already know about that!), and a return to a less painful life after it's all over. Know I'll be sending healing thoughts your way.

Take good care and don't be afraid to speak up if you're not getting the treatment you deserve!
