Good Morning Chronic Pain Family!
It is a beautiful Monday morning! Though I would love nothing more than to put on fuzzy socks and curl up to a good book.... It is Monday. There are tasks to complete, jobs to do and appointments that need to be kept.
Often times we are so busy supporting others that we forget to update about ourselves. So, before we get too wrapped up in starting out the week... Please, stop by and let us know how you are doing. Give us an update. We want to know how you are doing.
What are your major plans for the week?
How are you feeling? What has your pain scale been over the weekend?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Im new here and just thought I would tell you all how I am feeling. It's not a typical Monday for me. I feel my pain is at a 3or so and that is the best Ive felt in 3 months. My pain scale was at it's limits this weekend and I found that the medication Im on (lyrica and tramadol) have made me feel so strange and weak.

I have nothing going on. My son had a fall on his face about 8 months ago (he's 4) and he is going in for surgery on the 18th. Im trying not to let the stress get to me. But other than that, I will try to fold 2 loads of laundry and hope I can carry them upstairs without any problems.

Hope you all have an okay or good day coping with pain :)

Cheers, breezyP

Hi Everyone,

I know I have not been posting much lately....it has been a rough couple months! I finally saw a new Rheumy and I am on steroids again, so pain wise....I am doing pretty good! The steroids make me very irritated though, and make me just feel kind of yucky all over. However, prior to taking them....I spent the last two months with my pain never going below a 6 or 7 and it was worse most the time! I like my new Rheumy....thank goodness! He promises that we will do something next Tuesday when I go back in and not leace me hanging like the other one did! He re-confirmed the fibro and thinks I have RA, Sjogrens or both...so they took about a gallon (jk) of blood and we will see what happens! So...not much for this week....just waiting for my next appointment on the 23rd!

Wishing everyone LPD's!

Spinal Stenosis L3/L4, L4/L5 & L5/S1 with Nerve Impingement, Fibromyalgia, TMJ, GERD, Severe Depression, VERY Large Cyst Right Ovary causing mild twisting, Small Cysts Left Ovary & 3 Large Cysts Uterus and Possible RA

Medications - MS-Contin, Cymbalta, Famotidine and currently Prednisone

Hi all.
Today I gave up on my trial of Cymbalta.  I was getting no pain relief, only side effects.  I cut down on my 3xday Vicodin, but pain increased significantly.  After two weeks of trying Cymbalta, it just doesn't help at all.  I'm hoping to be able to sleep tonight for a change and not have blurry vision and tremors tomorrow.  Without it I at least had enough energy to get off the couch today.
I'm thinking of going back with tramadol, but not with the extended release version.  The instant release only lasts for 4 hours, but it never gave me serotonin syndrome unless I combined it with just about anything else.  The extended doesn't relieve pain well enough, and adding an extra instant release caused SS.  I'll talk it over with my pain doc tomorrow.
Gotta keep plugging along though.  Another grandbaby is due next year - for me to spoil.
