Wednesday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

What do you have left to do before Christmas?

Take back a rug that doesn't match, mop (swiffer) the floor, and cook a few small things. It's gonna be a bumpy ride today because the 20 lb ham I cooked, which was supposed to be the special cut with less bones and fab flavor) was too salty for me to even eat. It tastes great (if you like a salt lick).....so I guess I'll be using to season beans or stews in place of salt and meat. My hands are swollen double from tasting it yesterday.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I still have a ton of shopping to do...ugh! I just can't seem to find any motivation this year to get it done. I have 5 kids, 3 of them are still pretty young (7,9 and 11) so I really need to get this done. I am usually so excited about shopping for them, I just have zero energy right now.

I am going to force myself to go Monday, no more putting it off.

I have a small batch of deliveries tonight and Sunday. Then Monday I need to send off packages to be mailed. . Oh gosh, you know what... I never took pictures of the Christmas jewelry. I should do that so I can repeat the styles again. The larger more extensive packages with jewelry are the last two batches of gift bags.

For just household stuff I need to make cookies with my bumblebees smilewinkgrin   which is the best part once all the hard work is done! After 4 weeks of chocolates and candies it is like reaching the finish line of a marathon. "Yes, I made it!" I am already getting Christmas cards saying thank you! I love cards, make them into garland and hang them   :-)

...well, my bumblebees school is closed because it has been snowing yesterday and today. Mostly because of ice, not so much snow. They are happy to get to keep the candy platters that were for the school. I am happy to start vacation time with them early  :-)

I need to wrap, which will be at the last minute on Christmas Eve because the dogs and cats love to shred paper!

Yesterday I got the best deal for my fiance's gift. I got a GPS retail price of 199.99 and on sale at HH Gregg for 149. I found it online at Walmart for 88! HH Gregg has a 110% price match guarantee. Then I talked (flirted) my way into free accessories and the 2-year replacement plan for free! Then I gave him a Mary Kay small hand lotion and goodie for his wife! I cant wait to see the surprise on my fiance's face on Christmas Day! He always gets lost and will need one for work soon. The boys and I will wrap it in its box, then a larger box, then a larger box, etc. Plus, I had baked pumpkin rolls for a church member and my Mary Kay money was a little more than enough for the gift and treats for the boys and our pets!
I must get some cookies and fudge done for Sunday's gifts at church. The boys and I will bake all this next week cakes, cookies and fudges for family. Tim and I were blessed to find a very nice ham at a very good price, so we have invited 2 neighbors who are alone to join us for dinner Christmas Day. He and I share the cooking and the boys do cleanup, so I am not too stressed physically. I am looking forward to the calm days and weeks ahead!

Wishing you all low pain and big hugs!
