Hey! just curious of anyone knew of anything that i might have, so the run down is year and a half ago i had overuse injury in my right shoulder, had pain on the front of shoulder if i did sports, after my second therapy program it got worse and "spread" to my left shoulder and did one more therapy program that didnt help. Then 2 cortizone shots, message therapy, xrays, Mris(ink also), they didnt find anything in my shoulder, i have 11 degree scolosis from T3 and up, that i have read might block transmissions from the brain to heal stuff? from the internet though soooo not sure = P. Then my pain was chronic now and it always hurt somewhere, then i tore my Acl different story but then used crutches and my pain "spread" to my forearms and elbows on both arms and bicep/triceps. And my lower back now. Its mainly rib pain but my left trap has been hurting, the Doc said i didnt have Fibro, or other diseases from blood tests. I do have Vitamin D deficiany tho, its at 27(norm is 50ish) so i just starting taking pills 2 weeks ago for that. I know thats alot of stuff but any ideas would be great, i have more appointsments were they crack my back and stuff but it doesnt do much. I also use heat pads which helps alot, but again thats temporary. But im 20 so i dont think my body should be breaking down this much, but who knows = ) anyways thanks for at least reading this and hope everyones day is going well.

Your pain may be from using the crutches during your ALS recovery. It could of irritated the scoliosis? You may have a pinched nerve somewhere back there.
I'd stay away from the chiropractor. He might be doing more harm than good.
The Vitamin D difficency could also be causing pains.

Thanks for all the responses so far.
Couchtater- i agree that the crutches probably didnt help and i think it made things worse. But i thought i had a pinched nerve also but i dont really have any of the symptons besides pain down my arms, but its not fluent. Its just certain areas that hurt and i have no tingling or burning sensation. After the Chiropracter does his stuff, the area doesn't hurt anymore if i press on it for about a day.
Gavinol- I think your refering to like Ghost pain right?! or some people call it that? i haven't really thought about that and i havent seen a neurologist yet, so i should probably get a scan and see how my nerves are working. Because at this point i think it has to be nerves, nothing else makes sense. Strained muscle would have healed, torn would have shown on both MRIs, again with above dont have pinched nerve, no Fibro, no arthitis or lupas or other stuff, hmmmm thanks for responding!

that is weird pain types. you hurt your shoulder and they could see your spine on the X-rays and MRI films. when you say scoliosis from T3 and up what do you mean more specifically because there is a lot of space between T3 and your head. what do the MRI reports say? problems with the mid-spine or with the neurological system can cause wide-spread pain. you need to see a neurologist or rheumatologist that has exposure to diagnosing different ailments and treating them.

Hello and welcome to HW. Sorry it took so long to respond....Christmas is that time of year.

about your pain, some Dr's don't believe in Fibro. Some will NEVER tell you you have fibro no matter what. It is possible that a second opinion is in order, but I also agree with Couchtater in that you probably irritated everything with the crutches.

Spinal Soldier also gave some great advice. Seeing a specialist is almost always the best idea because they know what to look for. Even the radiologist reading my last batch of x-rays, mri's, and ct's got "irritated" because he kept saying there was nothing wrong, but the Spine Specialist was able to see clearly (and show me clearly on the films) that my fusion of L5-S1 did not go right. He showed me each piece of hardware, how it was positioned, and then how the "bone" they put in had grown "sideways" rather than fused from the L5 to the S1. It looks on the MRI like a bulge in the dics, but I have no we can hope there is no more sideways growth and hope it begins to grow up and down, but doubt it and either do another surgery or live in more and more pain. I say this all to tell you that different Dr's obviously interpret tests and films differently and to highly recommend that you go on (with copies of everything.....not just the reports, but the actual films or discs) to a very good specialist. You may find they can help.

All my best!

Spinal Solider thanks for responding and thanks for the advice i need to follow that hah, but what i ment by the T3 scoliosis is the 11 degree curve starts there and goes all the way up, so its just a bend from there. Also my MRI was just of my right shoulder and they said if anything it showed A little Tendonitus but thats it. I might need another MRI on my back? But i deffenitly need to see a neurologist!
And thank you very much retiredmom, even on Christmas!! But i'm sorry to hear about all your situations with your body, ill be praying for you to get better! But ill start getting my MRI's and xrays and keep visiting more people, im sure ill find out a reason soon. Thanks everyone hope you had a Merry Christmas and a have a happy new year = )
