Anyway I took too many meds to get through and guess what? I;m out!! AAAARG, I have to go 5 days till the pain dr. I;m going to change from the Oxy;s coz they don;t help much anymore..I take 15 mg of Morphine twice a day and 80 mg of Oxy 2xday..
I suffer from Fibro, Disc probs, Restless leg, Bi-Polar..

Hello Barb!

I can relate, and have at times wondered if I took my med when I was supposed to. One thing I have done that helped me, is to buy one of those divided containers that is marked Monday through Sunday.

Simply put you're daily does in each slot, and you will know if you have indeed taken the correct daily dosage. At the end of the day on Sunday, refill it for the next week, and so on.

I'm sorry that you will have to tough it out for the next few days, but please take the steps to see that this does not happen again.

Hi Barbo,

Good to have you back again! Not having appropriate pain control is shameful and negligent health care...IMHO. I do hope you are able to work with your doctor and come to agreement on a regime that works for you.

Keep in touch...

Hello all...Hi Barbo, I had oxycontin for the first time, for just a week, while in rehab. It worked better than anything has so far, but am home now 4 days and my own doc's still on vacation. All the pain is back full force and the meds I have aren't touching it...lortab and vicodin (is it ok to say those?). Have to talk to him about the oxy if I can hold on till I can get in to see him. Checked with my pharmacy and it is very expensive. Are there any assistance programs for it like a couple of the high-priced meds I'm on?

Going to be up all night. Was looking around online for info and distractions both. May have found that here...

I had the same problem when the changed the formulation of oxycontin. I talked to my pm doctor about it and he changed my meds to just regular oxycodone, the immediate release. I do have to take more pills and sometimes get up in the night to take them, but it works well for the pain for me.

Hope this helps!
