Tuesday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

What does your desk look like?
Books and papers piled? Do you keep four cups of pens and pencils? Extremely organized?

It looks organized, but when you open up a drawer, everything is everywhere, but I know where everything is, so it works for me.

Total chaos! I know where to find most things, but it looks terrible. I've never been an organized person.

I no longer use a desk...just my recliner and my laptop on a great lap support. I use online services like checking and bill pay, and I only keep paperwork that I may need some day. I'm actually getting my husband to get me a burn barrell so that i can burn some of my more sensitive documents after the info is no longer valid.

I'm thinking of getting one of those scanners that allow you to scan and file everything into your computer. Anybody have one of those? If so, how does it work? I'd love to organize more, since I'm loosing my "office" as part of the new "mother-in-law suite" being added to my house. I find that I almost always use the documents I save at some time or other, like this week when my very expensive recliner broke and I was able to locate the original sales receipts from 4 1/2 years ago. It made a difference because they are sending me all of the parts at no cost to replace all the "guts" of the chair. They even sent me a powerpoint to show how to replace the parts, but I think I'm going to get a repair guy to fix it....it may be WAY safer and much less painful.

Have a great day everyone!

Well, I guess I am organized-ish. My upper part of my desk is very clean. The lower part is a bit different.

One shelf is books for reference.

   One
shelf is "keepers" from the girls. I keep the best of their projects and school work for each years "Binder". I only have time to go through the "Keepers" pile about once every 2-3 weeks or so.

One shelf is "document" pile. I go through that about every week and half and organize asset papers and anything that needs to be kept in order.

The last shelf is for beading and jewelry sketches. I sketch everything out before I make it. I really want to do is scan in the "sketches" with the photo of the end product. I too, wonder if those "office scanner" systems are any good. It would be neat to have my sketch's on my computer.

...my husbands desk is pure chaos    smhair    It has 3 months worth of dust. Piles of screws and bolt and tools. Wires every where and paper out the waaaa zooo! Yet, amazingly, he knows exactly where everything is. Go figure  rolleyes
