Just a short note to let everyone know that our sweet and dear friend Privey passed away peacefully this morning at 4:15 AM central time, USA. Latest word is that her family has arranged for 'Calling Hours', or viewing, this Friday with services on Saturday.

Privey was such a delightful member of Healing Well and became a special friend to many. Her life has left precious footprints on the hearts of those who knew her.

Respectfully and warmly,
Chutz

My sympathies to her family, and to all those here who were close to her. It is good to know she passed peacefully. Perhaps that is all any of us can hope for.

I'm truly sorry to read that Privey has passed, but want to offer my condolences to her family if anyone is in touch with them. She brought so much to HW and was loved by so many. She will forever leave her footprints here as our wise Chutz already stated.

Though she will be dearly missed by her family here at this forum, and her passing will be grieved  by all her close friends and family, she is now at peace, and  her chronic pain will hurt her no more. When some one passes on, I personally find this poem very comforting. I hope that the members that were closest to Privey also find comfort in this anonymous authors  poem.

When I come to the end of the road.

And the sun has set for me.

I want no rites in a gloom filled room,

Why cry for a soul set free.

Miss ne a little-but not to long,

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the Love that we once shared,

Miss me-but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take,

And each must go alone.

It's all a part of the Master's plan

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,

Go to the friends we know.

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.

Miss me - but let me go!

We will miss you Privey!

She was a special person and dear friend. No matter what I write, it will sound so generic. Privey wasn't a generic person! Does anyone know why she picked the name "Privey"??? S/E> Mikey, maybe you can find out for us?
I will pray for her family and friends and hope that the pain and sadness can turn to joy & cellabration for Cathy is at peace and her pain is gone!!!

Pete, you are so correct! There was nothing Generic about this woman at all.

To answer your question the name "Privey" is a term related to what some remember as an "Outhouse"  It was an outdoor bathroom for those of you who are too young to remember these. There was no Plumbing, just a hole cut in a bench seat and a Sears and Roebuck catalog to either read or....well you figure it out.

Cathy had an "IleOstomie" Thus the name Privey! It was her Outhouse.

Trust me it was a pain in her rear, pardon the pun wink   Thank You for all your replys, it means so much to her family and those who knew her.

For all of Privey's family and friends,

I am sad to hear of Privey/Cathy's passing. I valued her wisdom in the posts of hers I've read and I know she had a huge heart and an even bigger smile. May all your memories help to comfort you as you grieve.

Cathy, I am praying that you are now pain free and at peace. May your spirit live on in those whose lives you've touched.

God bless.

My dear and most sweet Cathy. May you rest and be at peace now honey. No more suffering for you because you had already suffered so much. And now you can dance with the angels as you are one of them now. You don't need to have that hip replacement now. Just dance your little heart out. I miss you terribly Cathy. Just one more month and I would have had the privilege to meet you, face to face, and to cry and laugh with you. But I know that God works on his own time and he felt you had suffered enough. So I will accept that. I look at your picture every day, talk to you and yes I shed some tears. Tears to say thank you God for bringing this special person into my life. Thank you Cathy for helping me when I was so so sick. Even when you were so sick, you were still there to help me.
When we go to Florida, we will all laugh and cry with you as we know you will be amongst us.
I miss you terribly honey.
My prayers are with your family and friends as we grieve the loss of a dear friend, wife, mother, grandmother........

Goodbye my sweet Cathy.

Though I did not know Cathy personally, I believe these wishes and condolences speak for themselves, and hope that they receive comfort from these loving thoughts and prayers. May God show you peace, and may you know she is watching over you, and will never again suffer from pain.

Just wanted to share my sentiments with this wonderful family. Reading the posts above show what this forum family is all about. And even though some never had the luck and joy of knowing our Cathy, this family is rallying around her in spirit and love. I'm honored to be a part of this community.

Warmest hugs,

Rest In Peace, Such a shame such a wonderful person passed on, but she is pain free and resting now. Thinking of everyone that has been affected by this and here for anyone and everyone. I love you all, and this is a time for all of us to come together as the family we are and think of Privey and her family and send our prayers their way.

Rest in Peace.
