I have been desperately seeking help in obtaining a pain pump and I stumbled across this site that I wanted to share with anyone else in my situation. There is a clinical trial in TX for pain pumps. I am still looking into it and don't know exactly how this one works but have participated in clinical trials before to find help so I have left a message and have been reading on the site. There is a lot on the site for many different areas of the world and many different trials going on all the time so you should find something that might help for whatever might be troubling you the site is:

and the specific link for the pain pump is:

My best wishes to everyone on this site may we all find the help and compassion that we so desperately need. My thoughts and my prayers go out to all of you.

Hi Undetermined, I guess I am a little confused by your post. I am guessing that you are wanting a pain pump, what does your dr say about this. The only way you can get a pain pump implanted is if your dr recommends one and you have the finances or insurance that will pay for it and the maintenance care after its put in. Not all PM drs believe in the pumps from what I am understanding, some still believe they are only for people with cancer, which is so far from the truth. A pump can be a wonderful tool for a CP patient.

I wish you the best in your search.

I agree with Susie/Straydog before trying or taking part in a trial always run it by
your doctor, so that they can get you into the trail quicker with a recommendation.
For some of these to be successful you need to go thru a psych evaluation first,
so look into what your doctor says...
Otherwise, good luck and well wishes to you on achieving success with the trial.

Sometimes these trials are not done by qualified Doctors, just done to get fast results, so be careful
