Wednesday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
Can you do two tasks at the same time?
Perhaps, even three or four tasks at the same time?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

This is where I shine!
I can crochet and watch TV or a movie! I can wash dishes or cook dinner while on the phone. I can have a conversation with someone online while working on school. I can rotate my feet in opposite directions at the same time, but I however can not chew gum and walk! Sometimes even just walk without tripping~

Does walking & chewing gum count?!

Mostly, I'm trying to be better about only doing one thing at a time. I read a study that says people tend to be happier when they focus on only doing one thing at a time. They claim that is even true for negative activities. I guess that means I'll have to give up listening to bill collectors while cursing them under my breath. lol

On the plus side, I'm going back to teaching & in connection with that, I can talk and listen at the same time. I partner my students up to practice English and while giving feedback to one group, I can be listening to another. It's always fun to catch some sneaky off-task children who think I couldn't possibly be listening to them while talking to someone else. Oh, the joys of being sneakier than my students. ;)

OMG I drive ppl nuts with multitasking. Right now I am doing my research and homework for my online classes, reading and writing here, watching Ghost Whisperer and cooking supper.

I usually take care of LO w/ dementia, take care LO w/ bipolar and adhd, take care another LO w/ adhd while I'm cooking, cleaning, computering, crocheting. I think we all say its the MOM in us. I drive my doctor nuts since I do all this and I'm in chemotherapy. He says I need to slow down. Even in my doctor office, I'm talking to him, reading, and usually playing a game on my cell phone lolol
Don't Care Bout Nuffin No More, Guess I shouldnt even be in this world
