I HATE "Murphy" and his stupid little laws!
I slipped & took a bad fall in my home yesterday afternoon & am in a world of pain. Bumps & bruises on both sides of my body and the back of my head. Ouch!!!
I have to go to work for half a day tomorrow for the most horrible, mean man I have ever met in my life. I'll be glad when it's over. I can't really type with my right hand. Actually, even with lots of pain meds, I can barely move my right arm. So that means it will be really fun to do web design work -- not. And I can't drive, so I get to spend 98 minutes each way on the El. Oh goody.

I just want to curl up under the covers with an icepack & a good book and not come out for about 2 weeks. At least free meds are coming tomorrow.

I'm gonna try & see if a neighbor can go pick me up some more of that Aspercream stuff. I just hurt SOOO much in so many places. My head & my elbow are the worst b/c I landed on the elbow & hit my head against the door frame. I'm thinking I may have to go to the doctor b/c I'm having increasing difficulty focusing my eyes. :( Probably this is all my fault for not keeping up on my vestibular exercises. I just don't like them.

     Dear Francess,

Yikes! smhair   Not you too! ...seriously, though, your head sounds like it took a big blow. Are you having headaches with the eye troubles? Seems like you hit the most sensitive areas there are on your body.  Geeze.. HAD to be right on the door frame. It must be bad if you can feel it through your pain meds. I sure hope you able to squeeze in to see your doctor this week.

Sounds like your boss is a piece of work? Hopefully, you can make it through today without telling him what he can do with himself shocked

Stay strong! Your are in our hearts!

Frances I can relate to the head pain. I fell coming out of my bathroom the other morning, I had no clue what happened till I heard that cracking sound which was my head head hitting the door facing. I too have a real nice bump on my head. I am assuming I must have passed out from being low on oxygen, I had been off of my oxygen line for awhile and forgot to hook it back up. I also hit my right shoulder on something probably the cabinet door in the bathroom. Take care of those bumps and bruises.

Are you still working thru the temp agency?

If you're having trouble focusing you need to see the doctor ASAP. You may have a concussion.

My father fell today down our three front steps. He landed on the step hitting his L5-S1 joint. He's been Xrayed and CAT Scanned and is waiting at home for the results. He can barely walk from the pain.

Good grief! Sounds like we need to start a HW "Help! I fell and I hit my head" Club. ;)

My boss is okay, it's the client who is the crazy one & I did end up telling him off. He deserved it. I'm pretty sure he's clinically insane. I told my boss I was never, ever, ever going back there again.

Now I'm in even worse pain. Got my pain meds & have taken extra but am still in a ton of pain. I think I need to go get a wrist brace. Something is seriously wrong -- lots of swelling, having a harder time even moving my fingers.

If I'm not better by the time the blizzard moves out of town, I think I'm gonna go get checked out. Can't really afford the deductible, but there is a LOT of swelling. :( I've fallen before -- mostly in the shower or down the stairs or up the stairs ha, ha -- but this one seems worse than normal.

I'm hoping I won't have probs with my insurance. Pre-existing conditions are excluded but I'm pretty sure they can't say this is related to my chronic pain. My arm is swelled up 25% bigger than the left one & it's turned purplish (usually my legs only turn purple). Hopefully we'll all get a snow day tomorrow & can stay in and rest up.

take care all,
