Yesterday, Sunday, I had the privilege of meeting Pete, Michael and Suzane and their wonderful spouses.  It was like a dream come true.  We all met at Pete's house and we had a great bar b q.  It was delightful.  Deborah, Michael's beautiful (and I DO mean beautiful) wife had made a delicious warm sausage dip and Pete's mom Pat, made a wonderful potato salad and cherry pie.  All the other goodies came from Suzane and Red and of course Pete and his wonderful wife Lisa, who, by the way is the nicest person you ever want to meet.
For me, meeting Suzane, was was the pinnacle of the trip.  She and I have been talking every day for a long time.  She felt so wonderful on this trip and was really enjoying herself.  I was so happy to see that.
Pete and I and my husband, Mario, are old buddies  by now.  This was our second meeting as we live only an hour away from each other.  It was wonderful seeing him and Lisa.  They have a wonderful spread with their horses and farmland there and of course their beautiful black dog, Rose.  She was the life of the party along with Pat, Pete's 83 and very agile mother.  That woman was delightful and I enjoyed talking with her throughout the afternoon.
I believe Michael to be a dear and the glue that kept us all together and facilitated this meeting of the four of us.  Thank you Michael.
OK so now we need for more people to come to Florida and visit too.  This is fun and I want to meet more people.

Wow. sure glad you all got together. I'd love to come and visit with y'all
but it's a long drive from Houston to Florida and my ears don't tolerate popping
from air travel. Anyways, wow...good to hear such nice news...
Hope your all okay and didn't over do anything, by the way cold weather is coming
in along with bad storms...

Well, we made it back from our Florida visit! What a great trip it was too! smilewinkgrin

I must say the highlight of the trip was to see each of these members that I have been visiting with for the last two years. Pete was a gentleman both on and off of the water. He and his wife were more than gracious enough to allow us to have a BBQ there at his house. If you want to see a smile from him, just mention the word FISHING, and he is raady to go at a moments notice. We found his wife to be a lovely hard working woman and a prime example of a spouce who also suffers along with their husband, full of worry and the unknowns of the future. Pete's mother was precious, and made us a cherry pie and Potato-Salad for the BBQ. She joined right in the conversations and made us feel right at home there.

Lindaloo!...what a peach she was! Giggly and full of smiles, with a genuine caring heart that could turn a lump of coal into a shinny diamond! smilewinkgrin Her husband, was rather laid back, but very approachable for a visit. I think Suzane met her soul sister here with Lindaloo, as we just could not tear the two apart.

Tmjpain and her husband were the perfect couple to stay with. What was our's was their's, and what was theirs, was our's. Red and I could be brothers, as our likes were the same, and he has a pretty good business head on his shoulders as well. Suzane and I are pretty connected at the hip, so of course we teased each other to death. She did very well, and her pain seemed to be on vacation while we were there.

We hit the Sponge Docks on Tarpon Springs, visited Walt Disney World, and walked the beach at Clearwater Beach as well. The weather was perfect for all outings, with 70 to 75 for a daytime high, and 45 for evening lows.

Of course we had to have a guys day out on the gulf and along the Crystal River. What a sight it was too! Me, Petey, and Red! Cigar's in one hand, and fishing rod in the other, and at one point all three of us peeing off the side of the boat in 1.5 foot of water! smilewinkgrin   It amazed me that with the low tide the water was just enough for Captian Pete to maneuver the boat around the rocks. High tide as about 5ft and our lines were whizing through the air at lightning speed. Now, if we were there to catch Seaweed I was the winner by a long shot. Pete recognizes a neophyte when he see one, and simply instructed me to cast out and leave it alone, while him and Red brought in enough to match the five loves of bread to feed the people. smilewinkgrin

Pete landed a rather large Sea Trout, but had to release, since the season ended the day before (Darn!) All I kept saying was Wahoo!.. as we zipped through the water ways at 35mph on glass smooth water. It was a day I will never forget, and as for Captian Pete!....I would be a deck hand on his ship anytime! wink

Disney World was a great place to visit, and we made an all day event out of it. (Got home at Midnight) If you have health problems the scooters are a must, and Suzane and I were smart enough to pay the extra cost for them. If you hop on a ride and they strap you in to the point to where you cannot move, it might be a clue that it may be a rough ride. If you dont' believe me, just ask Suzane about it. smilewinkgrin

Clearwater  Beach is another must on a persons list to visit. Now when you see a rope that says no Trespassing, it might be a clue that there is danger on the other side of it. My wife found that out very quickly and got whistled at by one of the Beach Guards. Of course we picked up a bag of shells, that will sit in the corner of the basement for the next 30yrs or so! smilewinkgrin

We rented a 3 bedroom house, and I highly recomend it if you can find the right couples to share it with. It was like living at home, and we had our own pool and a canal with our own dock. suzane and her husband were the perfect couple to room with. We set a plate for Privey at the table, and said Good morning to her every morning as we passed by it. Pete blessed us with his presence and spent the night with us one evening. We BBQ'ed Ribeye's on the grill, and had a wonderful meal. My wife did most all of the cooking, and we did not hear any complaints from Suzane or her husband.

If your headed to Florida for a visit, a GPS unit will come in very handy, and Mobile Phones are enough for photos if they have a camera on them. We even took some video's with our iPhones, and they turned out great.

I could go on and on here with our ventures, but I'm sure it would bore most of you. The main thing, is that if you get a chance to travel, make sure you travel to a place where one or more of our members are, and hook up with them. This was the sole purpose of our trip and I can personally tell you that we were not dissipointed in any way at all. We found all of them delightful to be around. Auntbuggy and Damouthy1, you are next on our list to meet, since you live a little closer.

We will send photos of our trip to whoever would like to view them. Just give me a jingle, and I will send them to you.

     SE wink

Hello Fams & Friends!!
Yea well, not much to add except> WE HAD A BLAST!!! When you meet someone you have been sharing things straight from your heart for sometimes years or more then you meet them and get to spend time w/ them it's really something special!!!
I don't know why I was nervous driving down to see S.E & Suzane and their spouses cause as soon as I got there it was like old home week! The hugs & kisses were flying!!! It was like seeing some old friends you hadn't seen in a long while! I felt right at home w/ family! It was the same as when I met Dani & her family last yearand Linda & Mario, then Father John the year before!! I am a lucky man to have shared time w/ such special people!!!! Like Mikey said, I ended up staying over that first night w/ them after walking around the Tarpon Springs waterfront and learning everything you could learn about sponges & sponge diving! That wore out us old C.P'ers pretty good and then the steak dinner the guys grilled and all the fixins the girls made girls did me in!!!! Oh did I mention chocolate cake, realy good c. cake??? Lordy<>Lordy!!!
Although my wife couldn't make it as she was working when I left and again when I got home, she didn't worry about me cause she knows how our Fam's at HWCP get along after meeting Dani & F.J. My Mom was a different story! She told me she had a dream that night that all my C.P. friends were "mass murderers" from some sort of Cult and they had kidnapped me then tortured & killed me!!! Oh what goes through the mind of an 83 y/o Mother??? We all got a good kick out of it especially after Mom met and fell in love w/ every one of them at the BBQ at my place!!! I was shocked at how GREAT Miss Linda looked when I first saw her w/ that big beautiful smile of her's!!! To go through what she did fighting the battle of her life and to look so terific she is one strong Lady!!! It was a special time watching everyone sitting around talking! Linda & Suzane looked like sisters sitting together the whole time laughing like little girls! Oh how cute they were!!!!! After everyone ate their fill, w/ the help of Debra & Mario we built a fire in one of those round stainlees steel fire bowls w/ a screen cover. The fire was a hit as when the sun started falling in the west, it started cooling off and everyone sat around the fire warming themselves and talked while eating Mom's cherry pie!!! I didn't want it to end but it was getting dark and everyone had long drives so reluctkntly left.
Although I invited the girls to come out on my boat, I think they knew that if they did that no serious fishing would take place as my boat can hold but not fish comforably our entite group so unselfishly they declined! Evan though the girls didn't make the trip, for me it was one of the highlights of the time I spent w/ the guys! Red is a seasoned angler used to fighting large Canadian gamefish who took it up w/ no help at all, a true pleasure to fish with! Mikey although he wasn't a fisherman, picked it up quickly and actually caught a couple snapper! Red on the other hand hooks probably the most prized gamefish in all of Fla!!! One that just doesn't bite when the water is cold so I was dumbfounded when I saw it! When he said "Fish on" and I turned around and saw the bend in his rod, I thought he was snagged on the bottom but then I heard his drag screaming and an instant later out of the water jumped a big Snook! Red had the fish totally under control but unfortunately it threw the hook on the last jump! This happens quite often w/ snook as their mouths are very bony, it wasn't the fault of Red's at all, he fought the fish beautifully!!! Snook season is closed untill further notice because so many died durring last years deep freeze so we are unable to keep them to eat anyway! We ran up and down the river several times looking for fish and enjoying the wildlife! Out on an island in the Gulf we saw a flock of white pellicans of at least 100 or more! (my favorite birds & the most I ever have seen out there in the Gulf!) Then porposes were jumping, feeding and playing in the wake my boat made gave them a thrill. We also saw several bald eagles & ospreys soaring above the river in all their glory! But the highlight in the wildlive tour was when we were fishing near one of the freshwater springs the Crystal River is famous for and our boat was suddenlly surrounded by some big manatees w/ their noses popping up through the surface for air!!! I told my new fishin buddies that people come here from all over the world to see these big guys and most don't get as good a look at them as they did!!! Evan though the fishing wasn't so great (it never is this time of year!) we really had a great time!! They are welcome on my boat anytime!!!
Well, I could write about our adventures all day but my hands are shot from typing! I truely hope that everyone here> Fam's & Friends get a chance to meet others from our wonderfull family!! You won't be disapointed!!!
Love & Peace to All,
Your Friend>
When I was young & stupid I broke almost every bone in my body and I'm paying a heavy price now but I'm still here and so glad to see my two sons grow up to be fine young men, both are in the Navy. I'm so proud! My biggest health problem>> I'm a certified Luny~Tune!!

Linda, Petey and Michael have covered the whole trip. For me it was a dream come true, to have been able to meet my dear healingwell friends. It was a special week, one day after another we made more memories. And I lucky to have met all the spouses and Pete's mother. I won't ever forget this special vacation. I will look forward to scrapbooking an album of this wonderful holiday.
I hope that other healingwell friends will be able to join us on the next trip.
Hugs and much love to Petey, Lisa, Pat, Linda, Mario, Michael and Deborah.
