I am so thrilled to have found this site! I have fibromyalgia, deppression, anxiety, PTSD and asthma. I am in a flair up now from training a gal who I hired 2 weeks ago. She's very consitant with the children ages 2 & 3 .We are to care for them as  a team. She was slow about jumping in and I carried the slack.   nono   Well it was too much on me. My husband had been helping me and we had them in day care prior. Finally I educated her about fibro and she now jumps in. It's been 4 days of this intense pain and I'm taking it as easy as I can but it hurts to move. The babies climbed on me, sat on me, pulled at me & were lifted too much just to mention a few stressfull physical movements. Then there's the "no's" and the noise etc... This is tuff but I'll persivier.

I want to welcome you to CP forum 4me. I recently went over to a friends home last Sunday for a Superbowl party and she had three children ranging from the ages of 8 mo. to four years old. the 4 year old warmed up to me and when she did it was hell just to get her to stop running into me. So I am paying for it the last two days with extreme pain. Ahh well, it was worth it...had a lot of fun. Glad my kids are grown! hehehe

Hope you keep posting.

Welcome to the HW boards. It sounds like you have a lot going on. I'm a fibro gal too and find that a long hot bath and a heating blanket are just what the Dr ordered when I'm in a flare. I also find that a dehumidifier helps tremendously when it is humid in the house (pretty much all of the time here). For some reason, the weather will bring out the worse every time.

I hope things are going to improve this evening and you'll be in a better place tomorrow.

All my best!

Hey welcome! sure wish we could've met under better circumstance than chronic pain.
Raising kids and having an chronic condition can be a challenge but it can be done, and
the children can be taught a few tasks even at an early age, but you make a game of it,
like who can get the dirty clothes into the basket first. Teach them the Barney song
clean up and have them clean up..These lil things will make the day easier for you.
Let the kids know they are to big now for climbing on you and maybe have them sit and color.
Sure hope you can get a low pain day soon. A moist heat pad can help on the bad days.
If you can find a vitamin store try looking for "Sore Cherry Juice" it's
supposed to help with pain, drink a small cup with dinner as it can make you sleepy, also Omega 3
also helps...

Hey Chart,

I've never heard of Sore Cherry Juice. Is it plain cherry juice or does it have something special going on? I'd be really interested in adding a juice with good benefits. I'm finding that my suplements are helping a great deal with several little things, but little things add up and I'm trying to improve my overall health. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi 4me~~

And welcome to the family! I can sympathize with the pain of handling young kids. Some of my grandkids live next door and the 4 year old is here often. I love these guys to pieces but I have to remind them that grandma's legs and arms don't always work right. Some of my muscles are sore and if they push on them by climbing into my lap then they hurt even more. But how do you tell a sweet 4 year old who's climbing up for a story that they have to be very careful where they put their little hands.. Many a time when I end up in tears after they go home because even though they didn't mean to hurt me the pain is so intense.

Just keep trying to work with the kids You are very lucky to have help during the day but with help always comes some small problems too.

Please keep in touch,
Chutz

Dear 4Me,

Good morning  :-)   My name is Dani and it is very nice to meet you. As you can see we have a great support group here full of caring and compassionate people. We are always glad to welcome newcomers.     It

sounds like you have quite a lot going on in your life. It is a struggle to balance our pain and physical work. I hope you are able to find a balance of some sort. We have many members here with fibromyalgia. Though I do not have fibromyalgia, but,  it is my understanding that it is very painful. I am sorry you have so much on your plate and such a painful condition to deal with.

I have to get going, but I wanted to welcome you to the Healing Well Community. I hope you are able to rest at some point today.

*hugg*
