My carpal tunnel hurts but isn't bad enough for surgery and hardly anything has helped my fibromyalgia.  (currently taking tramadol)
My hand surgeon said I need to take 100mg vitamin B6 daily.  B6 may help with carpal tunnel.  It may help with the fibromyalgia too.
From my reading: B6 is necessary for the metabolism of tryptophan to niacin and serotonin, lipid metabolism, and may lower the risk of colon cancer by 1/2.
Nearly all multi-vitamins and B-complex formulations have only 2 mg B6.  I checked on the ones I was taking, and that's all they had!  I bought some 100 mg B6 to try.
Has anyone had any experience with B6?

Alice, I dont' know a thing about B6, but my wife said it is suposed to help with Minstrel cramping. However she now has me taking it! So I would like to see what someone else has to say about it.

Us men just take what ever the wife tells us to! smilewinkgrin In fact, she has me taking several vitamins, that I dont have a clue as to what they are for.

SE wink

I'd love to see the results of this one. If taking B6 can help, I'll certainly be going out tomorrow and buying a very good brand!

Thanks for the info!

I don't have carpel tunnel or fibromyalgia, but I sure do wish you good luck in getting relief with the B-6. I was taking B-complex and quite a few others and I just stopped. Maybe I should start taking them again.

Interesting. I don't take it but I would like to know if this helps you. I also have Carpal Tunnel along with other hand ailments. I don't have that much of an issue with the CT but it has been acting up a bit these past couple weeks. I take a Multi-vitamin but I don't think I am getting all the nutrients I need because of my diet is limited.
