Thursday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

Have you splurged bought yourself something recently?
(Novel, New Movie or maybe even electronics of some kind)

I very rarely buy something for myself, and even on the trip to Florida, I did not buy a single thing for me.       However I did make sure my wife got what ever she wanted. We brought home enough Sponges to soak up the Sea! smilewinkgrin

Yep bought a new cane, it has spirals going down it and I'll either put a gold collar on it
or crystals, I haven't decided yet, it'll be glamoured out....It'll be awhile before I get
it, it's coming from Turkey...

Wow Char...that cane sounds cool:)

I love thrift store shopping! Gotta say it's hard to find ones with bathrooms though. haha When I find one that has a bathroom I'm a good custromer!
Recently I bought some "corbels" off an old house. Great find! These are 90 degree angles of wood that have an ornate construction to them. Mine have some curves with flowers:)  I'm gonna strip off the old paint and use them for a shelf in my kitchen to display some dishes on. I've been looking at some on e-bay and they run between 75.00 on up...found these for 10.00 a piece! yipee!

It was sorta a splurge on myself. My husband bought me a beautiful watch. It is iridescent shell with lavender pigment. Very small crystals around the outside of the face. It is water proof. I cant help but look at it all the time. I cannot wear jewelry due to metal allergy. All the jewelry I make are designs that I wish I could wear or what I would imagine wearing if I was someone else (face, personality).  So, this really touched me as I constantly have had to wear plastic watches. :-)
