All heck broke loose seems like it started last week,
Hubby startled one of my kitties last Thursday around 10 p.m.
and the kitty bit me, was quite hard on the wrist, he got a nerve.
Put Iodine, antibacterial on it after cleaning it out, it made me cry,
usually don't cry but the wound was deep this time, so it was feeling better
on Friday a.m. but then Friday p.m into Saturday well woke with sore throat,
headache ear ache, went to clinic at cvs was put on augmentin, seems
like the wound is a little better but my other things got worse and got coughing
so very dry.
Rheumy thinks the sjogrens is complicating my healing and has backed off for now on the MTX (darn it)
and also got a change of scripts for the antibiotic , prednisone and he thinks maybe a chest x-ray
later this week to rule out pneumonia (don't want it to be that, but I'm not feeling good)
last time I had pneumonia the doctor couldn't hear it, but it later turned up in two places on my left lung on x-ray.
So could use Healing Prayers for now, need to get over this and feeling better did not sleep good last night due to coughing...
and yes I'm drinking plenty of water, could sink a tugboat with the amount of water I'm drinking and hate it..
Anyways thanks for reading this and will posts when I'm up to it.
Also, my rheumy is going to keep me off any meds like humaira in the future as I do get infections( maybe wait til a safer dmard comes out)
an still waiting on getting a new pm doctor geezee, make my life simple just once please....
will be thinking of y'all cry

    Chartruex! Always prayers for you!

I always worry for someone who has had Pneumonia in the past, as I hear it is easy to get again.

Please do keep on top of it! Please!

Will be thinking of you, and waiting to hear more news on this.

Hey Chart

I am sorry you are feeling bad. I have a question for you? Did you let the Doctor know that you were bitten by you cat? and did you start feeling bad after the cat bit you? Cat bits can be difficult, and there mouths can harbor some nasty things some times! Anyway I just wanted to make sure you are covering all your bases,  I don't like to hear that you are sick, so I want to make sure you get well soon!  Yes I will keep you in my prayers, and you just do what the Doctor says!

I hope you get to feeing better soon my  friend!

Hi, Chartreaux,
Just popped in quickly and saw your post and wanted to send as many healing hugs your way as I can muster up! I sure do understand about wanting things to be simple - even for just awhile. Do we even know what that feels like anymore? Sigh....

Please do follow White Beard's advice. He's got a great point about the cat bite.

WhiteBeard is so right about cat bites. Our neighbors cat got in our motorhome one day while we were loading it. It was on the bed and my husband swatted at it to make it move and it bit him on his arm. We left after cleaning up his arm and by day 3 he had red streaks running up his arm and ended up in ER. The dr in ER said that cats have the nastiest mouths of any animal and the bites can be very serious which we found out. The dr put him on a very strong antibiotic and he had to go see our PCP several times after we got home.

Take care of yourself.

Yes the doctor did know it was a cat bite, and I do try to keep their teeth clean with kitty toothpaste
a couple of times a week. The pharmacy was out of the new prescript yesterday so I picked it up today.
Still feel bad...not good when coughing wakes you from the rem sleep either...
Will be back as I can. Rheumy said it'll take awhile to heal, I'm a slow healer...

  Dear Chart,

I hope you are doing alright today. *hugg* I am so sorry you cannot take the newer meds. I had hoped they would help you.  I can understand why your doctor wants you to stop taking the MTX. Hopefully the prednisone will kick in and help. The side effects are frustrating, but worth it. I hate knowing you are going through so much!! You are always in our prayers!

*warm hugg*
