Sunday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

A good list already. I think I'm going to stay clear of the big ones (and then have to admit that I've broken it at one point or another I'm sure). Instead I'm going to go with open mouth chewing, especially if talking is thrown in at the same time.

     Texting while driving!!!

     Dangerous Drivers!!

     Liars!!

Users!! Why am I only in your range of vision when you have a problem? What about when I have a problem? Two way street folks, two way street.

Double Faced "friends" (Nice to your face,  in front of others.. disrespectful and spiteful the moment your gone)

People who take credit for your hard work. It happened recently and I am pretty darn angry. Not even sure if there is a "term" for that.

     Disrespectful adults and children.

People who "attack" others. Verbally, emotionally, physically. (Like their problems are somehow worse than your problems and you just need to take the abuse)

Service providers who forget their place. I pay for a service, do it properly or I will cease to bring you business

Speaking of service provider... I do not like ANY politician who "canvas" for my vote without first providing me with a full resume, list of references with contacts and accurate list of who provides for their champagne fund.

Loud, thumping, music! If it is isn't ACDC "Rock 'n Roll Aint Noise Pollution" then I don't want to hear it thudding through your 10K car with a 3K auto system that will only get repossessed in the end because you have so many other important things to do that pay your car note.

BULLYING. Worse... GROUP BULLYING. Don't do it. The hands of fate will make you the target of a bully one day to. You will have an entire "pack" of "bullying friends" jump on your too one day. You do deserve it by the by. I wish I was there to witness it. *le sigh*

....goodness, that sure felt good.     smhair

Woah Dani,

This one seems to be a serious topic of frustration with you. I'm glad you took the time to vent a little. And, your list is right on the money!!!!!

I'm about sick and tired of selfish, demeaning people with nothing better to do than look for things to be ugly to others about. I'd say grow up, but they are mostly already grownups. It's so sad that our society has become such a slum!!!

I honeslty feel that the idiots who make the majority of television programs and the sponsor who pay for them are to blame for a lot of the insanity in our world today....come on???? is it really necessary to have every children's cartoon with vulgar behaviour, ridicule of others, vast disparagies of people with diffferent weights, an idiot and a smartellic teen?

(I have to note: there are good cartoons left out there...."Little Bear", "Franklin", and others like that aren't even annoying to me as an adult). The morals are good and there is respect for the family.

I had to come back to add my biggest gripe though....POOR PARENTING!! If I said it before, I needed to say it again for my own vent.

Thanks for the chance Dani.

I had a gold fish named peeve. Though not big, I guess s/he would be it :P

Actually... hard choice between:

1) people who cannot accept what is their fault and thus blame others or make excuses as if what happened was outside of their control or unforeseeable;

2) people who have been habituated into getting everything they desire, feeling entitled to it out of just the fact that it is what they desire, and will lie, plead, complain, harass, etc. until they get it.

hehe, I love "Kipper". Have you seen it? It is obviously just for entertainment, but we record the little 15min segments to watch together on the weekends.

I cannot stand passive aggressive people who are nice to your face, but you can tell they're not really being nice--that FAKE smile! Ugh. It makes me cringe.

Be kind, but don't be fake. If you don't like someone, then don't pretend you do. It's really annoying.

I really can not deal with two-faced people....do not be nice to my face and then talk bad about me behind my back!!!! If you do not like me.... FINE! I got over trying to make people like me a long time ago! But do not pretend to like me if you don't! I have more respect for a person who can be decent to me, even if they don't like me.....but never pretends to be mind friend!!

The other one is liars!!!!! I told my daughter when she was growing up that she was going to make mistakes....sometimes BIG ones....but if she was honest with me, we would get through it! I am not saying she would not get in trouble but it would be double trouble if she lied! My daughter grew up to be a very honest person.....as she got older....sometimes her honesty was WAY TOO MUCH INFO!...but I am still happy that she was always able to be truthful!!

Take care of you.....all of you!

I have many, but one of them is when people make assumptions based on little to no known real facts.

I have many too :) ...most have already been mentioned.... But I guess my biggest one is people who pass judgement on others.  Until you've walked in someone else's shoes, you don't know what that person's experience is....

Good topic :)
