I've been having a rough time lately with a bad flare up, the prospect of having more surgery for my stimulator and a few other things - but I had a few nice things today :)

I put in new applications a few weeks ago for various funding thingamies - taxis & public transport, a companion card and funding for car modification. Today in the post I had a letter telling me that my taxi concession had been approved (I rarely need to use a taxi - but means that I get a 1/2 price taxi fare should I need it), free public transport, but most special to me - the funding application for my car mods have been approved. Which means that as soon as the funds are available my car will be fitted out with hand controls, knob and a boot crane for lifting my chair. I've been reliant on other people for transport for three years, and it will mean the world to me to get out on my own again

Has anyone else had anything nice happen in their lives lately that they'd care to share? smilewinkgrin

Laura,

That really is a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dark day. Congrats to you!!
Hopefully some time during this week I'll have some good news. And next week will definately yeild some results as I go in for my monthly visit with my PM doc. But this week will potentially be a make it or break it deal for Tanis and I.

Oh, and in the next week my friend, where I board my horse, she should be expecting ... well we're not sure how many eggs Blue's sitting on ... but we'll have baby chicks! And Mindy should be having kids as well. Last year Mindy dropped three kids, so we're not sure what she'll have this year, but spring will have certainly sprung soon as we'll abound in babies. And her sebastipol geese should be here soon; eventually they will be drop dead gorgeous!
