Wednesday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
Will you be going on vacation this year?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Ummmm, that would be NO :) I'd like a solo vacation, though, if that could be an option after the year I've just had! :) :)

Between sending the kids to 50 different summer camps, and trying to deal with twin babies - we are staying home this year!!

That being said, I love to travel and hope to get back in the groove next year.

It's looking like no. The family was all planning on a cruise together to Alaska. But we're probably going to end up putting it off a year because of me. At least it's postponed instead of canceled and I don't have to worry about backing out at the last minute. I too look forward to starting to really travel again. So many continents left to explore.

Congrats Pebbles! All the best wishes for you and your fiancée.

My husband graduates from nursing school this May. My kids will go on an RV trip with my parents, my aunt and uncle and my cousins in June, but since we don't know what my husband's work situation will be, and I don't do long car rides well, we decided to let them go with their grandparents alone. It will be a bit of a vacation for me though, since we will probably pack up a tent and head out to the local state park for a night or two. We will have 10 days without any children, but some of those days he will probably have to work. (We hope)

We can't afford to go on vacation, so that would be no. I wish we could go visit my family but we can't.

Hopefully. We've been looking at a trip down to the beach here, combined with a boat trip that will let me get into the water and swim with the dolphins. I'm not sure yet if it will be doable - waiting to hear back from the motel down there about whether their w/c accessible room will be free when we want to go, but am so excited just at the possibility of it.

I can't take long holidays or go very far but I'm also hoping to go to New Zealand for a short trip next year. I have always wanted to see it and my parents have just returned from Auckland. They stayed in a regular hotel room, but said that where they stayed had lovely w/c accessible apartment rooms :D
