Saturday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

What is your favorite place in the town or city that you live in?
(restaurant, park, street....)

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

My garden :D

My town is on the semi-rural outskirts of the city - where the suburbs run off into the bush, so we have big beautiful gum trees everywhere. On a warm day you can smell the eucalyptus on the breeze, hear the kookaburras and the parrots calling, and it's just beautiful. Occasionally a stray echidna will wander through to upset the dogs or the odd 'roo will get lost and find itself hopping down the street.

We have a big deck out the back that overlooks our pond and waterfall - the photos are a little old, things have grown up a lot more since, but this is my peaceful place -
Top of the pond garden
Part of the waterfall

And some of my flowers/garden -
'Camp David' Rose
Bird of Paradise
Iris
Rose - can't remember the type
'Alfred Sisely' Rose
Bluebell
Butterfly
Lavender
Another Butterfly

WOW crpspatient, I am so impressed!
I thought about this and I can't think of a favorite place in my area.  I guess it would be the inside of my car.  Sometimes I will drive around and think, and if I need to I will park at one of the playgrounds or fields around town.  Sometimes it's just a side road in front of someones house. There is a state park about half an hour away with a circe drive around a lake and i will drive that sometimes.
I park and read, but I don't get out and the location doesn't matter too much.

I'm looking forward to the house we are in the process of buying because there is a spot that looks like it will be the perfect sanctuary once it is set up.

There is nothing in any of our city's that turns me on. I was raised on the farm, and love the country setting. For entertainment in my youth, I would climb our Windmill and sit on the wooden platform at the top, and watch the Weat Fields for hours on end, rolling in the breeze.

One a partly cloudy day, I would watch the clouds invade the landscape, and wondered how long it would take for one to come along and cast a shadow on an item I had selected on the ground. Those were the days! wink
