Saturday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

Do you use a grill during spring and summer?

My husband has a big natural gas grill and goodness he makes the best green chili burgers! I cant let him anywhere near the kitchen due to several fires. Out back with the grill he is right at home and comes up with some very delicious meals. Squash, seafood, steaks, chops, bobbs, you name it!

(p.s. I am terribly sorry about posting a few daily questions late! My internet provider Qwest, had problems at a "station" for the last week. They promise it is fixed for real this time, so hopefully it wont cause any more problems. I am bit skeptical though... this is try #3 to fix out areas connection  rolleyes )

I don't have a bbq, but my best friend and her husband do. We all work in the restaurant industry, so great food is done on the bbq year round. He just wears his winter jacket and she and I give the appropriate amount of sympathy and encouragement and he is happy to grill for us even on the coldest winter days!

I tend to grill all year long as weather permits. So long as nothing is falling from the sky and it is at least 40 degrees out you may very well find me out back grilling whatever meat we are having for supper.

I grill so often that in a typical year I will go through three and a half 20 lb propane tanks. The other 1/2 tank gets used up in our camper in a good year.

I love a good BBQ. I have my own grill in storage since they aren't allowed at my new place. I miss the real charcoal grill. But the new place has common gas grills, which I hope to make good use of.

Yes! .....of course we BBQ!.....and do so almost year around.....rain or shine....snow or sleet!

In fact, I was up at 5:30am getting the Biggreenegg ready for an all day smoke on an 8lb Brisket. This is one of the most relaxing things I have found to do in life.

Of all the items I have boughten in life, this is the most enjoyable and was the best investment hands down!

If you have a hard time making friends in life, I highly recommend this as a starting point to change that trend. Our particular Grill is also a smoker, and will bake Bread, cookies, Pizza, and so on.

We love that it is made out of Ceramic, and the fact that it is also highly efficient.

So YES!...we do grill during the spring and summer months! Wonderful Hobby!
