Sunday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
What are you doing today?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

My daughter had her wisdom teeth taken out so I'm home being nurse maid to her. She is so miserable, swollen up, in pain, and tired of eating mush!!!  Yesterday was my oldest daughter's personal shower, she is getting married in June. Yesterday was also a bad pain day. Hoping today is better.  If I can get out of the recliner I "might" do some housework today. But don't hold your breathe!!

Hey Rhaevin that would be great! You clean house as I tear into the ribs! smilewinkgrin

We always welcome anyone who wants to eat with us, and we do entertain quite a bit!

Smoking meats is a hobby of mine, and it is very relaxing to me. Anything on the grill is good! We do all of our baked potato's on the grill as well. A little
EVO and sprinkle with seal salt, even a little steak rub on them is good. 400 degrease for 45 to 50 minuets. No foil for me! Love a semi tough peel almost burnt looking! Yummy to my tummy! smilewinkgrin

Rack of Lamb is simply awesome! Sam's carries it at a reasonable price and comes in a two pack. We buy the ribs there, and they come in a three pack. Buy the spares!.....more meat than the babybacks.

I want ribs, too tongue I'd gladly clean house in exchange for dinner, Mikey.
Up all last night.... between pain issues (still nursing a broken arm, on top of all my other junk), my mind racing and feeding the girls.  Went to church.  Just got home and did lunch.  Hauling kids to/from various things.  Going to visit my mom.  Tonight, dinner...and getting ready for another packed week.  It never ends!

The church youth group had an Outback Steakhouse fund raiser today. So I figured I had better go :-).

After that shopping and cleaning.

Hubby and I went shopping at Dollar General and got him two pairs of jeans at $10 a piece and a pair of shoes for $8. Came home and rested for a bit and got on the computer.

Boy Michael those ribs really sound good. Wish we had a grill. We'll probably get one of those that you put charcoal in. The round ones. We can't afford those ones that you use the tank with. They're too expensive.

I hope you all are having a low pain day and night.

love and hugs

Tell you what, Michael, I'll bring my son so he can do the cleaning... plus my lil 8 year old can put ribs away with the best adults.  ;)  How 'bout I bring dessert instead! I make a real mean Bailey's cheesecake, and some moist cocoa-drop cookies that should come with a warning label.
