Friday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

My week was rough.  I rate it a 3.  All over trying to get some in home help and not waiting 2months for it to happen.  Lawyer said it would take 6 months for WC to pay for in home help.

Physically - about a 6...
But emotionally it's been a hard week in terms of other junk - probably a 3.
Looking forward to the weekend, and a better next week.

Many, many health and pain issues.
Many meds - including Atenolol, Effexor, MS Contin, Dilaudid, Actiq (oral Fentanyl), Soma, Vitamin D, Iron (for anemia), Synthroid...and on the list goes.
Personal: I'm a Christian wife and mother; I have six sons and identical twin daughters.

I guess I'd have to say it was a 3. Very frustrating week, but not terrible.

Saw my new primary care physician for the first time, which made me anxious, and have a list of specialists she referred me to. Other than that: taxes (my husband is stressed out), heater's not working, and I just found out an article I wrote got attributed to a different author in the bibliography of a new book. Otherwise, not so bad.

Hmmm. Moderate pain through the week, had to go in to the office 3x (vs. usual 2), PM appointment with big changes, finished one big project Sunday night and got some very positive preliminary responses, working on another project due in less than 2 weeks now... just fine-tuning, wife is away at a conference so the house feels empty (but I have more time to work), got my first passport (only 9 days from when I sent in my paperwork!), and bought myself a toy: an android tablet on sale (viewsonic g -- great price for processor, but will flash the ROM -- replacing the stock software that has been poorly reviewed).

What does that equal? -4+-1+4+0+0+3+3 = 5 :)

tongue  my week started off great and seems to be heading to a great finish, i would say 8-9. had my monthly visit to my pm doc, although i havent seen him in months, his pa is great and i like  them both alot.  that means barring any unforseen upsets, i dont go back until may around this time. have my 5 year old grandson this weekend, my daughter (his aunt) will be taking him (and me) to his soccer game tomorrow. that reminds me will have my daughter put a chair in her truck for me, had to sit at pinic tables last saturday and they are so far away i cant see what is going on.  my grandaughters 4th grade class performed the musical part of 'Annie' i love her so much but if i had to listen to her sing 'tomorrow' another time, or for that matter any of the songs, i would be putting alot of cotton in my ears.  she was great, and she loves singing and dancing i alway 'sing' her praises her enthusiasm alone makes up for her tone deafness.  i always tell her she sounds great because that is what grandmas do.

I'll say an 9.

Pain and general health wise, things have been really bad this week, but...

On Thursday night, my parents were having tea down the pub and Mum rang to ask if I wanted to come down Friday night (last night) for a gala raffle night. I said I would, so she got me a ticket. I was feeling too sick last night to go, but she was able to put my tickets in anyway and I won the three top prizes... an E-reader, an Ipad and a big TV. Mum's been wanting an E-reader for a while, so going to give that to her. I'd never think about buying an Ipad, but it would certainly be nice to have for all the times I'm in hospital. My brother has been wanting a TV and although this one is far too big for his room, I thinking that I will sell it (it retails for nearly $1000), buy him a smaller one and tuck the rest of the money aside for later on :D
CRPS since 1999, diagnosed in 2005 and since spread to full body, spasms, dystonia & contractures, gastroparesis, orthostatic hypotension.

On Oxycontin/Endone, Topamax, Mobic, Magnesium, Florinef, Somac, Cipramil. Have a spinal cord stimulator, intrathecal pump with baclofen & bupivacaine and doing physio.

The beginning was great. The mid was hard. Eyes gave me a jolt and the whole house down with a stomach flu. As always, my HW family steered me in the right direction when I couldnt figure out what to do next. All in all a good week. Just with a few bumps. ..large bumps.   SO.. I guess an 8.
