Wednesday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
What artist or band have you been listening to lately?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

I have been listening to a singer called Mandisa. If you remember she was on American Idol, and I guess she was told she was too heavy. She has a new CD  out called What if we were real that I really like.  One of the songs has been playing on the Christian radio station called Stronger.  I want to write out some of the lyrics (remember it is a Christan artist)
Hey, heard you were up all night
thinking 'bout how your world ain't right
and you wonder if things will ever get better
and your asking why is it always raining on you
when all you want is just a little good news
instead of standing there stuck out in the weather
oh, don't hang your head
it's gonna end
God's right there
even if it's hard to see Him
I promise you that he still cares
when the waves are taking you under
hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
the pain isn't gonna last forever
and things can only get better
believe me
this is gonna make you stronger
Try and do the best you can
hold on and let Him hold your hand
go on and fall into the arms of Jesus
Oh, lift your head, it's gonna end
God's right there
even when you just can't feel him
I promise you that He still cares
cause if he started this work in your life
He'll be faithful to complete it
if only you believe it
He knows how much it hurts
and I'm sure that He's gonna help you get through this
gotta hold on just a little bit longer
the pain isn't gonna last forever
it's only gonna make you stronger
This is really helping me get through the hardest moments, and I have it playing in the back of my mind a good part of the day.  It has a great beat, and an amazing voice, plus the words are just what I need right now.

I'm a big fan of 1920s jazz, so I have been listening online to early jazz radio shows.

Went to see my Brother w/ the "Save the Wetlands Band" Sunday night!! They closed the Tampa Blues Fest!!! He got backstage passes for my 83 y/o Mom and I to drive our car right back behind the stage so we didn't have to walk to far! Free food & drink was nice too, BBQ of course! They also had a small reserved seating area right in front of the stage which was also nice cause we were between the big speakers on the sides and didn't get blasted too bad! I posted a video on my Facebook page of them playing if anyone would like to see/hear them?? It's just a little shakey Flip video but I think you'll get the idea! It was fun and the first time I saw live music in a long time! We also got to see Erma Thomas (Queen of New Orleans Blues) play right before The Wetlands Band!! She's the best!!! Didn't get home till after midnight but it was worth it!!
Much love!!!
When I was young & stupid I broke almost every bone in my body and I'm paying a heavy price now but I'm still here and so glad to see my two sons grow up to be fine young men, both are in the Navy. I'm so proud! My biggest health problem>> I'm a certified Luny~Tune!!

i am a product of the 1970'is, the theme was sex, drugs and rock and roll. .  i pretty much listen to 3 stations  the first classic rock, then R&B old motown, then my favorite blues station.  i am always listening to something when i am on this forum either reading or responding. i also love to listen to these stations when i am doing housework, nothing like dancing with a broom or mop, which at this point they are helping to keep me standing and balanced.

I'm a country girl at heart. I love to listen to Rascal Flatts. I also love listening to gospel music. The modern music and the hold hymns. Especially Amazing Grace. It was my grandpa's favorite song, and he wanted it played at his funeral, so it was played. He passed away in 93 and I still miss him as much as I did the day that he passed. We were really close.

My husband and i are christians and he's a preachere, so I hear a lot of gospel music. I would love to have a copy of the song that you wrote out. It's perfect music to listen to for us cprs imo.

Everyone take care and I hope you're all having a low pain night.

love and hugs to you all
