Chronic Pain Chat Night
April 21st, 2011

If you are new and/or not sure how to get to the chat rooms here are the directions....

To get to the chat room you just click on the words/button CHAT or CHAT ROOMS. Both will take you to the same place. Where are those words/buttons? Above the Topics list where all of the discussions are listed is a button that says "NEW TOPIC". Going up some more are a line of words that read

Forum Rules | Help Manual | Chat Rooms | Moderators | Volunteer

You can just click on the word Chat Rooms and there you are! Or you can go up one more line and come to a thin blue bar. On that bar, is:

Log Off | Control Panel | Home | Calendar | Chat | Search | Members | Help
Just click on the word CHAT and it also takes you to the chat room menu.

Once the pop-up Chat window opens go through the steps. From the drop down menu choose the Chronic Pain chat room. Once chosen you then do step #2 and log in. Then you will see the chat screen in that window. You just start typing in the small window at the bottom of the viewing area (where everyone's words show up) Below where you type is an option you can click on to view the Chat rules and help.

If you can't get the chat window to open make sure you allow a pop-up for this particular site. If you have it blocked you will not be able to do chats. On Firefox/Mozilla browser it will tell me at the top of the screen that it's blocked and allow me to let this one place open a pop-up.

Start time is 6 PM Pacific Time and 9 PM Eastern time N. America. Come and go as you like. It’s informal and we operate like an open house evening.

Hope to see you there!

Dani, is there a way that you could ask Peter, about starting a Forum for "COPD" and "Sinus Infections"
seems like more and more people could use help on these two topics, I know the COPD forum
would be of great help as there is no real time forum out there or much support on copd....
Thanks hun, and Happy Easter to all....

Hey Chartreux,
I see you are suggesting a COPD forum as I did..
I hope I'm not making a pest of myself. lol

It would be good, as stats show that 1 in 10 will suffer at some point, so if you're requesting on my behalf too, that's very sweet of you and I appreciate it.

By the way; I've been popping into the chat from time to time and finding it deserted, and then it occurred to me that you guys are about six hours behind us here in UK.

I'd be interested to know how many Brits are members (If any)
And maybe arrange to meet up in chat.
Just a thought.

Anyway; summer seems to have descended on us here. Been sitting in the sun, reading, and a spot of sunshine seems to lift my spirits.

Hope you are having/ had a good day.
Hugs,
Anthony.

Well, I go in very early. 5pm - 530pm Mountain time

We get early evening group, then it will slow for a bit. Then we get midd evening group, then will slow. And the late night crew of veterans that are mostly folks that are in chat every night. Sometimes it gets busy in chat, like it was midd evening last night. When that happens 4 or 5 will switch to a different chat room for a more slow oace of chat. So you can always bounce back and forth too.

p.s. I was really nice to get to chat with you last nite. It is so much nicer to chat in real time. I hope you can come other times too!

I missed it. Then again I haven't been here in like 2 months, hehe. Sorry guys, life has just been very busy and the work schedule doesn't exactly help matters (though atleast now I'm not waking up at 3:50 am, YIKES).

Overall, my pain is fairly well under control. I had a few flair ups that required methlypresnidone, but asside from that, the nucynta 75 is working extremely well and this time around I'm using a bit less and not building any tolerance. Horray!

The effects of the Radio Freq I had done seem to have had lingered. I don't have the deadening feeling I had before which dropped my pain by about 75 percent, but still my overall pain remains constanrt at roughly 1/3rd less pain and therefore much more managable with medication.

Ofcourse, I am also planning on getting more active as summer hits,so that should help the secondary pain issues from the RA.
MRI revealed disc bulge and test injections revealed RA. Radio Freq procedures have decreased the severity of pain by about 1/3rd. currently on 75 mgs of Nucynta (tapentadol) 3 time per day. Works as well as 10 mgs of hydrocodone, less addictive, no tylenol, but schedule II. Also take Alieve OFTEN, much better than Ibu.
