Hi everyone. I didn't sleep a wink last night. I've been trying every so often, and it just won't come. I'll be glad when I get my pattches, and i can sleep again. I haven't had good sleep except may one or two nights since I pulled that last one off Tuesday night. I'm so exhausted. I don't know what to do about this. I take Seroquel 200mg. to sleep and it works great when i'm not going thru all the pain and withdrawls. Well, i guess i'll go for now. Everyone take care. I hope you're all having a low pain day.

love and hugs

I feel for you. Been in the situation for other reasons. It really really sucks, try sitting in a cool not cold very dark room and try to relax. Even if you don't sleep this wil help to rest you mind and body.
If you need distraction from the pain, read or watch a movie laying in a comfortabe, dark place. Reading is better than tv because of the stimulation of color and lights. Try to get into a good light read. An easy, exciting book in bed, in a cool room, in the blankets, with the lights off and a reading lamp on is a way to rest when you can't sleep- even in the middle of the day.
I hope you get some sleep soon. For me it is a way to excape pain when I medication isn't doung enough.

Loretta-I hope you can get some pain medication to help you as it's awful not being able to sleep. Do you take a muscle relaxer? Maybe that would help at night. Not sure why you need to come off your pain meds but maybe your Dr. can give you Valium or something like Klonipin to help. Take care. Sara

Thank you all sweet people for the support. I guess we all have this problem from time to time. I still didn't get my script yet. Hopefully tomorrow. My husband and I went to Walmart shopping, and while i was hurting, it took my mind off of everything. I sure hope you're all having a low pain night. My pain's bad, but not unbearable for some reason. I guess God is watching out for me. You all take care.

Love and hugs

Have you tried melatonin to help? my new PM doc
said it can take up to 15mgs of melatonin to sleep, but for
me I take about 1 and 1/2 mg of melatonin for the sleep...
Sure hope you can find something that'll help, maybe a book...

thank you Chartreaux. I appreciate your support too. I haven't tried Melatonin. My husband did one time and it didn't work for him, so i hadn't thought anything else about it. it disappeared. i guess he threw it away. we don't have any. maybe i'll se if i can get some and try it. Do you think it would be ok to take it with the Seroquel, antidepressants, and other meds? you take care. i hope you're having a low pain night.

one great thing about melatonin is along with it's benefit as a sleep quality enhancer it is one of the strongest anti-oxidants known by biologists. it is one of the top "anti-aging" anti-oxidants similar to DHEA, it is far more effective than Vit.C or Vit.E. even if sleep is not improved you still benefit. one natural source is from tart cherry extract or powder taken in capsules. i think it is fine with Seroquel because your pineal gland pumps it out when it gets dark, so you would know by now if a interaction with adverse effects would occur. i hope you can start your med routine and get normalized ASAP. God bless. PS L-theanine found in green tea or GABA, a amino acid that has an effect similar to valium can increase "alpha-waves" or alert relaxation. Magnesium and Calcium, (citrate or chealate) calm the nervous system impulses in your body and can help with RLS or muscle aches. Good herbal options are available.

Thanks everyone.

Spinal Soldier. You're just so full of knowledge about the herbs, vitamins, etc. Thanks for telling me. I don't like green tea, but i like it with a little citrus juice in it. I got it one time cold in where they keep the small pops, bottles of water cold and it was good. So i guess i'll be drinking more green tea. Thank you for all the information. If you think of anything else, let me know because I do have generalized anxiety disorder and it really gets going at times. I do have Klonopin and it does do a pretty good job, but anything extra that's safe, would be greatly appreciated. I hope you're having a low pain day. You take care.

love and hugs to everyone
