I just found this site a few days ago and thought I would get a lot of information and support. I have Degenerative Disc Disease in my lumbar spine and sciatica in one leg and also have problems in my C-spine and causes pain in my elbow and weakness in my wrist and hand from impingement at C6-C7. I'm not a candidate for surgery but have had a lot of injections and nerve blocks but mainly take medication for pain control. I had to stop working over 3 years ago because of my back injury. Looking forward to meeting others with chronic pain and also in the Depression forum. Sara

This is a good site, we are like family and I wanted to say Welcome! but
sure wish it was under better circumstances than chronic pain...Injections
are just a first round type treatment, you then go for rhizotomies which
is where they burn the nerves...and keep on doing the physical therapy it does help
keep you active and going, a good moist heating pad can sure help on bad days
or ice packs...
Well wishes and healing hugz....

Good Evening Sara!

Welcome to the CP forum!

As you have already found out, we have a great support group here. All of our members are warm and friendly, and always willing to support those seeking it.

I too!... have DDD as well as many more here, so we know full well what you're going through. Are you being treated by a PM or your regular PCD, and do you feel like your pain is being treated properly?

We invite you to post as often as you like, and share your experience with other members as well. We simply feel that we have the best support group for CP on the web.

One thing we offer new members right off the bat, is to please feel free to visit the "Chronic Pain 101" located at the top of our forum home page. You will find a wealth of information there, and I'm sure it will interest you. We also ask new members to please take a peek at the forum rules as well.

Were happy that you have found us, and again, Enjoy and "Welcome" wink

Hi Sara!

And welcome~ I hope you enjoy the 'family feel' of this forum. Anyone who comes with pain is family because we all know the feeling of living with pain 24/7. And there's no one who understands it better than another sufferer.

I too have pinched nerves at L5/S1 that shoot pains down my legs and arthritis in my neck. Add to that some fibromyalgia and you have a beginning of my chronic pain portrait.

Wishing you less pain on more days~~
