I have been down in the dumps lately. Extended family issues have overwhelmed me with instability and doubt. Life can do that to anyone, and I am finding that with CP or illness doubt has a tendency to take over if I let it. So I am challenging everyone to stop here a moment and share a blessing from your life with the group. Maybe seeing others blessings and happiness can breathe new happiness in my life and the lives of the family here at HW.

My blessing to share for the day is the sun and fair weather days! Today is beautiful here in Pennsylvania, sunny, warm without being hot, enough breeze to keep things pleasant. The trees have blossomed into leaf and there are shades of green and yellow everywhere. The birds are singing and the flowers nodding in the sunshine. My seeds are planted and Mother's Day is coming. To combat my family drama, my family is going to my soon-to-be in-laws home for a cookout and party.

So what are you blessed with today? turn

Good post Mindy tongue Although, I admit, I'm wiped out it's hard for me to focus on the "good" - but I'm gonna try!!
Two huge blessings: First, my kids.  I hate to go on and on about them...but they are really turning out to be good kids.  Yes, we have ups and downs...but the young people they are turning out to be continually amaze me - especially my 15 and 16 year old.  They make much better choices than I made at that age - but that's for another story :) :)
Second blessing:  I'm not just saying this as a "politically correct" answer (that's not me by any means, most of you know that!).  But I'm really blessed for this board.... and the wonderful friendships I've formed.  People here have seen me through good/bad times, tears, laughter smilewinkgrin - just about it all.  It really makes a difference when you are battling big time health/pain issues.
Thanks, Mindy; and curious to read what others have to say yeah
Love, Tina

I am blessed with having a close friend who watched me as an infant and mature into a middle aged adult. she is like a second mother to me. especially since I lost mine in 2006.

She is my sounding board and I am hers. we are like girlfriends but with 30 years separating us. She has macular degeneration of her eyes but she can still read large print books from the library.

I keep in touch with her by a daily phone call. it could last 15 min to 1hour long. It is a great relationship and I feel so blessed that I have such a friend.

I am blessed with a wonderful, caring, supportive husband.

I am blessed because I am still able to work, although I do have to miss more than I ever have in the past.

I am blessed because I do have health insurance at the moment, anyway!

I am blessed because I find great comfort in my faith.

I am blessed because there are people here who care about each other. They read my posts, and offer support.

Wishing you all many blessings,
Fibromyalgia, Inflammatory Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Asthma, High BP, DDD, Bulging Discs in Cervical & Lumbar Spine, GERD, Prediabetic
Prednisone, Lexapro, Cardizem, Lisinopril, Advair, Lipitor, Vit D, Joint Supplements, Soma, Tramadol, Fish Oil Supplements
I take one day at a time, and try to save my energy for the joy in life.
