Sacroiliac joint dysfunction - a year and a half of horrible low back pain spreading out to hips and groin - tried all other doctors, chiro, D.O. - went to a pain clinic and lucked up on a doctor that does Prolotherapy.  We tried a couple of steroid injections first - they only lasted about 3 days each.  Just finished 3rd injection using Prolotherapy - I started feeling way better just 2 weeks after the first injection - only 1 more to go we both think. I'm out gardening again - yay!!!!  My depression has lifted and I feel like a new person.  Anyone suffering - please research this - it's been around a long time, but most doctors are just after money - not healing...

To gottabefree, could you explain a little bit about prolotherapy, I have never heard of it, does it work for something like Degenerative Disc Disease, Fybromyalgia, neuropothy, I have had the 3 shot thing done several times in my back in the early days, never seemed to do much of anything.  I fell back in 2007, which only added to the injuries I already had, anyway after I fell I had a burning sensation in my right lower leg, which was making me crazy, the PM doc that was treating me at the time did nothing but continue to increase my meds until I finally accidently overdosed and woke up in the ER with a doctor leaning over me about to send me to the psyc ward. I did not need to go to the psyc ward, I needed to get rid of the burning in my leg.

I found another doctor and blessfully he gave me the 3 shot deal and although my right foot is numb, the burning of my leg was gone, never to return.  Unfortunatley for me after having him for my doctor for about 1 and 1/2 years, he moved his practice to a place where I could not get to with public transportation.  Anyway I am rambling again so I am going to stop.  I would like to know a little more about this prolotherapy.  I am very happy for you and glad you can garden again, as it is springtime, and the gardens are beautiful to see.

I do believe it could do wonders for you as well (not sure about neuropathy, though...)
