So, I would never pat my own back..lol  but this month on the 24th it was 8yrs that I have been post-op for my gastric by-pass surgery. I was 332 pounds and I lost 200 pounds! I have kept all my weight off! That really is something for me to be happy about!

Just thought I'd share. Now that I have been a posting fool, I'm off to try and sleep.

Sweet Dreams

Congratulations Lucky. That's quite a feat you have done and keeping the weight off. that's wonderful.

I sure wish you could have as good of luck with your pain. I wish we all could.

Take care. I hope you can get some good rest.

love and hugs

Congratulations! You really do have a right to be proud of yourself as that is really quite an accomplishment!  I am extremely happy that you felt comfortable enough with the folks here on the forum to share that with us! You have my utmost admiration! Not all people that have had that surgery are that successful, and I am glad that you are!

Again Thanks for sharing!

Lucky...

You SHOULD pat your own back - that is an awesome accomplishment yeah I'm proud of you!!

I know three people in my life that have had the surgery.... w/ one - weight kept off.  The other two - the weight has slowly crept back on.

Honestly, I don't want ANY more surgeries (I've had 7 c-sections, among other things).... but - in a perfect world - I would LOVE to have a tummy tuck, especially after having the twins.  (and a breast reduction, but that's a whole other subject - haha).  But I think if I could have those two things.... my back would LOVE me.  I think it's a huge contributor to my back pain.

Anyway, I'm rambling.... but congrats and a HUGE pat on the back!!
