Surgery Completed SCS Lead

Had surgery today for my SCS lead. I got a great Doc, took every thing out at implanted all new equipment. Now it is waiting 2 weeks before they turn it back on. Thank you all again for wishing me well. I hope everyone can also find the relief they need.

So glad to hear that your surgury went well. 8 weeks will be here before you know it.

Keep us posted to your progress.

crushed lower knee and vertical fx of yibia/external fixator placed/plates and screws and tried to place big pieces of cartiledge under knee cap/tremendous pain in affected legcontinously without improving/allergic to metal in left leg/leg isnt straight/need metal removed in July/wait 6 months for healing/then toatal knee replacement/straighten out leg/more phsyxical therapy/take opana er

Hi Pappy It's good to hear that your surgery went well. I hope the pain doesn't get bad while you're waiting to get it turned on.

Please keep us updated on how everything is progressing.

Dx: osteoarthritis, bursitis in left hip, Osteoarthrits in right hip, compression fracture in thoracic spine due to falling on frozen ground March 2001 , ddd, spinal stenosis, bone spurs, osteoarthritis in spine, osteoarthritis in both knees
Meds: Fentanyl patch, oxycodone, otc: BenGay, Tylenol Arthritis on occasion

Yea Pappy! I'm so glad everything went well in the cold creepy room. I think that's half of the problem when someone has to have something done. I know the room has to be sterile but does it have to be so cold and creepy? Anyway, I'm glad it's done and you're on you're way to recovery.

Hi Pappy,

So glad to hear that things went well for you! Fingers crossed that everything goes well when they activate in a couple of weeks.

CRPS since 1999, diagnosed in 2005 and since spread to full body, spasms, dystonia & contractures, gastroparesis, orthostatic hypotension,bradycardia/tachycardia, bone spurs, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome.

On Oxycontin/Endone, Topamax, Mobic, Magnesium, Florinef, Somac, Cipramil. Have a spinal cord stimulator, intrathecal pump with baclofen & bupivacaine and doing physio.

Would like to welcome esangel05 to the room. There are some very supportive people here that really understand what suffering with chronic is all about. Hope that whatever is causing your pain can be taken care of soon. hugs cb
