Hi, I have been posting on the fibromyalgia board and lurking here and I wanted to introduce myself. I am 31 and have been struggling with some kind of chronic pain or another since I was 20 or so. It started with upper back pain for 7 years that was finally resolved by surgery. At the same time I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and it took several years to get that pain under control, but it is mostly under control now. My current pain is related to fibromyalgia and low back pain/SI joint dysfunction.

I have a good PCP and I have just started seeing a Physical Medicine doctor at a spine clinic. I am going to have cortizone injections into each SI joint in two weeks. He said I still had to do all the PT to correct the dysfunction, but that this might help to resolve it. I only take Rx Naproxen and Tylenol Arthritis for the pain right now, along with occasional Flexeril. Sometimes I wish I had something stronger, but no one seems to think that is the right choice yet.

Hi Heather Lynn

Welcome to our Chronic Pain forum, I am glad you finally decided to post here. I think you will be right at home, sound like you have had allot going on over the years, and you have had more than your share of pain! Well as they say misery loves company and I think you will find all the company you will ever want right here on this forum. We all know what it is like to suffer from chronic pain, so we not only can sympathize with you, but even more importantly we can empathize with you. Personally there is something comforting about sharing your pain and frustrations with others that really do understand what you are experiencing and going through!  Share as much as you are comfortable with, but know that we are always here for you, to give you our ears and listen, and support you in any way we can. You are not alone when you are here on this forum!

Hello Heather!

I'm also over on the fibro board, sorry to say that I have to be there. But at least we have these forums so we can come together. I'm sorry that you are so young and suffer from so much pain and misery. Hopefully you'll find something or someone here who will make your life just a little bit brighter. That's what it's all about...sharing and caring.
