Just wondering if anyone has experience with a Pain Fiber Test? Supposed to be able to check the smaller nerves that an EMG cant account for.

For the lumbar region I laid on a wet spong and had a few electrodes stuck to my side and buttock region. Then the nurse used a cotton tipped wet probe to jolt/ test certain areas. I was supposed to let her know when i felt a tingle, pain or other sensation.

Evidentally, the lower your reading the healthier the small nerves are, the higher the reading the more damaged. Mine were 65-100, that was when they could actually get readings, several areas didnt respond at all. Poor nurse had to have the dr come in, she thought the machine was malfuntioning.

Just wondering anyones feelings about this specific test?
