My PM doctor suddenly left...permanently, leaving me with no pain medications that I direly need to perform my job, to perform life.

Does anyone, can anyone recommend one? Or how to find one? Names can be abbreviated with an included zip code if thats professional, I am unsure. smhair

I live in new albany, IN

Thank you. Time is so precious.

I don't think we can post names and such here (I've been here 3+ years and still don't know...).  :-)
But I googled your city/state and "pain management"; "pain doctors" and came up w/ several results.  I don't know your surrounding cities - but try those, too.  Also, many good pain docs are also anesthesiologists - so try googling that, too (w/ your city).
Edited to add:  I did a search w/ "anesthesiologists" and your city - and, again, there are several and some DO say "pain management" - meaning, they see pain patients.
Good luck. --Tina

At this point you would do well to call the Indiana University School of Medicine and/or Indiana University Health. This is a large teaching hospital in IN and the only one I found. Well over 50% of the physicians in IN are trained at this university plus it's very active in clinical trials and other research. These folks take the hard cases and right now you're in a bad situation. Calling someone should get help on the way.

Good luck,

I do not have any input on a specific doctor for you, but my doctor is attached to a very large teaching hospital and is the first pain management physician I have ever seen. I am very happy with my doctor and feel that he is wonderful. He really cares about his patients and actually listens to them when we have a visit.

Good luck!
