I had a MRI on my neck last week . I went in for the results and seems as i have more ddd. So now i have ddd in all three regions of my back and my ortho doesn't seem to think much of it,but it's causing me severe pain and making me miserable. The ortho moved on to some other issues that came up on the mri i have a couple of lesions that he did seem concerned about and is sending me for anothe MRI but this one will be with contrast and i'll probably be getting a referral to another dr. So i'll be having the mri next weds so keep me in your thoughts and prayers!

Hope you all are having some lpd's  Kay

My Dear Aunt Kay

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for the coming weeks. Even though I am not physically close to you, I am with you spiritually.

Try not to stress out to much because you cant change anything even when you stress, it just makes your pain worse. I found that out myself...lol.

Keep us posted as you find out more about your condition.

Try to be strong

...sorry to hear of the new problems Auntkay....are they not scripting pain med's for you...or just not enough of them? I finally convinced my Dr to change my Oxycontin to every 8hrs instead of the normal 12hr...and boy!...that made a big difference. Relief if more constant now!

Keep us posted...and prayers to you!

Hi Aunt Kay I'm sorry to hear that you have the lesions in your neck. I hate to hear that you have ddd all down your spine. Ouch. I wish you well and I will be praying for you in the next few weeks. Try not to worry as the stress will make your pain worse. I know easier said than done, believe me I know from experience.

I have lesions in my left lung that need to be checked out.

You take care.

love and hugs

Hi Kay:

I'm so sorry to hear of the lesions and the DDD. I know you don't like to take pain meds but I think you should really consider taking them on a regular basis. I know that I have lots of pain even though I take pain meds regularly. Of course you know why my meds have been cut in half. I'll be praying for you my friend and I love you like a sister. Try to stay positive and not think the worse of the lesions. You know I'm here for you. I'll call you today.

Hugs,
Barb

You logged off before I could ask could you maybe set up an appt for whatever dr the ortho will send you to? That way you don't have to wait till the 10th to see ortho then however long it takes to make an appt with the new dr. Just a thought

Keep us updated. You'll be on my mind. Hugs!

Just thought i'd update my post.My drs. office called me friday said the results are back from the second mri, so i asked what were the results the nurse said she couldn't tell me over the phone. She was calling to tell me he wants me to see a ENT dr. and that she has already faxed my information over to the ent's office. Then she said she wanted me to come in on tuesday instead of weds. and i've called the ent's office and have an appt. scheduled for this friday. So i guess i'll see whats going on this week ,getting to many appts. scheduled it's making my head spin. I'll update when i know more .Hope everyone here is having some better days ((((hugs)))) Kay

Hi Kay~

Sounds like you could sure use a giant yet tender hug{{{HUGS}}}....is that better? I'm sorry you keep getting such troubling news. You certainly didn't need any more.

about this doctor who's running the show, it seems as if he's not acknowledging your concerns. Is that the case or do you feel he is trying to concentrate on the more important issues first? Can you get his attention long enough to ask him about some sort of pain relief? If not maybe the new ENT will be able to do it if you explain the situation. Either way you deserve to have your pain issues taken care of. There's no reason to leave you at this level of suffering while you wait for them to do all of these tests, etc.

One thing you might consider trying if your doctor won't give you time to ask a question.... when he's in the exam room, politely stand in front of the door when he's done and tell him you're not moving until he answers a question for you about pain management. Sometimes you just have to get their attention and that ought to do it quietly...lol I've done similar things when someone wasn't giving me 2 seconds to listen to a concern I had. I got through and it worked for me.

Please take care and keep us posted... you're in my evening prayers,

my latest update as of today.. i saw the ent dr today and he really couldn't help me and is referring me to emory in atlanta. He said the tumor in my neck is so deep and it's in a very difficult place to reach so i need a dr that has alot of experience in this area. So i'm waiting for emory to call me for an appt. and i'll find out more as i go thru this process also have a couple of nodules in my thyroid that i'll adress when i get an appt. just waiting and wondering at this point. I'll have to have a biospy to determine if it's cancerous or not. So i just pray the lords will be done ...hope you all have a lpd and many great days ahead.

Hj Kay I'm sorry the ENT dr couldn't help you :( It sounds like you have been referred to a really good place. I hope you can get an appointment with those doctors really soon and that you can find out really really soon. I know it's so scary not knowing.

Take care. I hope your pain is lower,

love and hugs

Hoping your pain levels have decreased and you are having some better days. Give us an update when

Hi tmjpain, and thanks for asking about me. I just relized that i posted the wrong date in my last post. I met with dr. Wadsworth on 8/30 and i had a great visit. I really liked the dr. he was very comforting and reassuring. He has me scheduled for a cat scan this weds. and then a return visit on 9/30 where he said he'd tell me in detail the ct results and go over the surgery info with me at that time . So for now i just wait it's looking like surgery won't be untill Oct. H e also said he'll address the thyroid nodules but one thing at a time. I'm still having chronic pain and doing pt so all i can do is hope for the best right now. I hope your doing well and having some lpd's.
