I went to see my pcp today. I asked her why she put on my oxycodone script that I can take 2 a day and that she only gave me 30 pills for the month. She looked and said she didn't know how that happened. She told me to call back and get another script when I need it. So we got that straightened out.

I asked her for a prescription for a muscle relaxer. She said she didn't want to prescribe them because she didn't want to add on another script that would make me sleepy before I see the neurosurgeon for him to look at my MRIs. because i am on so many meds. That aggravated me, but I guess it's better to error on the side of caution

I'm so tired and exhausted. I gotta go and get some sleep. You all take care. I hope you are all having a low pain night.

love and hugs

ps. I did talk to the doctor about checking my vitamin d levels, and I had blood work done. So I should know the results in the next few days.

I'm glad you were able to get some of your issues worked out with your doctor, I know it can be extremely frustrating at times. Good luck with your Vitamin D results. Mine was low in June, so my Doctor started me on the over-the-counter Vit.D 2000mg a day. Within a month it was back to normal.

So I wish you all the best...Keep smiling :)

Loretta, I'm glad you got the oxycodone mess straightned out, but I wish she would have brought you back to the levels you were at before. Did she say why she dropped you to 2 a day from the 3 you used to be on?
It looks like she could have written your script right then and there, instead of having to wait on the mailing process. I know you have been suffering quite a bit, and it makes me think that one more .5 Percocet is not going to get the job done for you. However, at least, it will be something, and you will be headed in the right direction again.
Hopefully the new air-conditioner will help bring you some comfort....and please do let us know how it is working for you. I don't know how you have done without it for this long. shakehead
Did you get, or ask about the lung report?...or is that from another DR? Please get that taken care of Pronto! wink
Take care...and Thanks for the update!

It sounds like she won't mind doing muscle relaxers after your appointment with the neurosurgeon-so it may be annoying to have to wait but hopefully you will get what you need eventually.
I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Loretta, Kathy here, I am wondering also how is your vitaman B doing, its amazing how something that seems so, well its a vitamin, but the lack of some of these vitamins can really change your life.  My mother had vitamin B shots starting sometime in her late 40s early 50s, and she got them once a month.  By the time the end of the month was near, about a week before her shot, she was a pain.
I mean anything made her either cry or mad.  Neither one anyone wanted to deal with.  But of course we did, knowing the shot was just around the corner and she would go back to normal.
I sorry didnt mean to run on like that, I am so glad you got things straightened out with your pcp.  As for the muscle relaxers, what can you do?  I would say try to be patient, but I dont want you to smack me.lol
Good luck to you and please take care of yourself.

Thanks everyone for your support. It really helps knowing that I'm not alone with this pain. It wants to get really bad at night, so that's when I'm taking my 2 oxycodones along with either Bayer Back and Body (which I took last night) or Tylenol Arthritis. It seems to calm it down most nights. I know she probably means to take them one at a time, but my pain isn't as bad during the day, so this is the way I am taking it.

Michael I'm not on percocets, just regular oxycodone. The doctor changed that a few years ago because my liver enzymes stay slightly increased, but they are stable and not rising. That's why I don't take Tylenol Arthritis all the time, because Tylenol isn't good for your liver if you take too much.

I will let you know when we get the A/C and how it's working. I got an email Friday that it had been shipped, so in a few days it should be here. I can't wait Everyone take care.

Hi Loretta...I'm sorry to hear that your Dr. wants to wait on a muscle relaxer:( But I'm happy to know that she will prescribe more Oxycodone if/when you need it.

And the good news about the Vit D is if you are low...they can easily prescribe a course of this supplement to take and get the levels back up. My mom has had to have this a few times.

Yippee for the A/C coming!!!

Keep us posted on the MRI results and meeting with the Neurosurgeon.

Sending you some hugs (( ))
