Well, I guess all good things have to come to an end when it comes to me. The air conditioner has broke down already. The fan broke. The crazy ones that made the A/C made it out of plastic. I really don't understand the reasoning behind that. It was doing such a great job, and all of a sudden it made this loud popping noise. Jerome took it apart, and the fan only had 2 pieces left on it.

I called customer service and told the lady what happened. UPS will be picking the lemon up with no charge to us, and the lady I spoke to started processing the new one before I even got off the phone with her. She told me that the new one should be here next Monday or Tuesday. I was so relieved that it was so easy to get it replaced.

I am beyond frustrated. I am so angry. I have to put up with pain every day and then this happens. What a joke. I wish they would make things better so that this stuff wouldn't happen.

All the stress has made my pain even worse aaaarrrrrgggggg I'm hurtin' so bad. I guess I need to get my 2 oxycodone and see which med to put with it to get this pain calmed down.

You all take care. Hopefully you all are having a better night than I am.

love and soft hugs
Loretta

Oh Loretta, that's not good.  I'm so sorry this is happening for you.  I just hope it's not as hot where you are as it is down here in Texas.  It's been ranging from 105-110 for weeks now and our a/c has been running non-stop...I've been afraid it would go on the blink from all the excessive use.  It would be absolutely miserable if it does....I know how your pain can ramp up when it's hot.  I'm glad that you didn't get the run-around in getting it replaced and your new one is on it's way.

I hope you can get your pain calmed down tonight and until Monday.  I sometimes wet a small towel or washcloth and put it in the freezer, then place it against my neck and face when it gets really hot.  And of course, I know you know to drink lots of water.  Take care...

Hugs Loretta. Heat is miserable. It saps your energy and makes you tired, even when your're feeling quite well. I hope you can find a way to stay cool.

Awww...Loretta...I am sending you some ice cube hugs right now (( ))!!!:)

I agree...sometimes it just pours down on us. I know it's hard not to...but please try to not let it stress you out...Just do what you can and then give up the rest...

The stress..as you know...does not only make our pain 'feel' worse...But stress releases too much cortisol into our system and can suppress our immune system as well as decreases bone formation. So with all of your spine and Osteoarthritis issues..this really can harm you further.

So...I know how hard it is to prevent all stress...but I'm hoping that you can find something today and this weekend that will make you smile...

Do you have those gel packs that go in the freezer...and then you can wrap them around your neck to help stay cool?

Oh..and I think it was Straydog's suggestion about putting those frozen jugs of water (previous milk jug) in front of the fan to have it blow cool on you? That was a great idea that I have now applied!!

I truly am sorry that this happened...at least you can come here anytime and rant...we understand!!

That is such a total bummer I dont know where to begin.  Its like you can never be to happy, if you are something is waiting right around the corner to bring you back to reality.  That really sucks.

I am sorry for the piece of junk they gave you, but very glad they agreed to eat the cost of taking it back and bringing you another one.

I am almost afraid to say good luck.  So uuuhhhh, well, ummmm, ok hope things work out for you this time.  Maybe wait 2-3 weeks to see if its going to continue working before getting to happy, dont let it see you being happy, just say I am not happy because you are here (the air conditioner), I am happy for a completely different reason. lol.

So hope you are well today, and take care.

Thank you everyone. It's so good to know that I can come here and rant and rave and you all understand.

I had put the frozen jug of water behind one of our fans before the A/C came. It really does help. I didn't have a gallon one, so I froze a half gallon. Ahh I just remembered I should have kept the gallon jug that I threw away.

The weather here is in the 70s for highs now, which makes it a lot easier as far as heat wise, but it still aggravates me that the A/C has to be replaced already
It's supposed to be in the low to mid 80s the next two days, but the weather lady didn't say anything about humidity until Sunday when it's supposed to be in the high 70s. So hopefully it won't get really hot and humid again..

I didn't realize that stress isn't good for the immune system as well. I'm glad I don't feel stressed today like I did yesterday. How do you keep yourself calmed down and not get too stressed? I haven't figured out how.

My back seems to want to hurt worse at night and I can't figure out why. It's very irritating. I was reading the post last night where Michael (SE) was talking about the two stretches that he does. They sounded wonderful. I might try one and see if it helps a bit.

Well, you all take care. I hope you are all having a low pain evening/night.

love and hugs
