Hi everyone Today has been a horrible day. It's been raining and my back has been hurting so bad. I can't remember when it has hurt as bad as it has part of today. It has hurt so bad that it brought tears to my eyes :( We desperately needed the rain because we were behind, but I sure wish it would stop. I can't figure out how to get the pain to lower some. I'm so miserable. cry

I hope you're all having a low pain day and evening.

love and hugs

Oh Loretta, *gentle hugs* Does something like gentle heat help - a wheat bag or hot water bottle? I'm living with the things on my back at the moment.

Hoping that you find something to ease your pain a little.

Hi Loretta....

I'm so sorry you are suffering so much. Are your meds helping at all? The weather affects me, too - so I do understand.

Did you ever get that muscle relaxer?? I'm telling you, friend, I couldn't live w/out mine. I have severe back pain - and the muscle relaxer helps w/ my back as much as the narcotics at times. Please consider working on this.

Bobby will also rub my back when it's really bad. But there are other times when I don't even want to be touched.

Other than that, I don't know what else could help, beyond what you are doing. But I'm deeply sorry you are struggling so much; I'd take it away if I could.... honestly!!

Hugs, my friend. --Tina

Thank you all for the support. It helps to know that I'm not alone. It hasn't rained today, but my back has been hurting worse than usual. I guess I might be going thru what some people call a flare?

Yes. I do take pain meds Serenitee. I am on the Fentanyl patch and oxycodone.

Tina I asked my doctor about the muscle relaxer, but she wouldn't give it to me because I'm on a lot of meds, and she said they would make me sleepy and she didn't want to add more drowsiness. I don't get drowsy from anything but the Seroquel I take before bed to help me sleep.

I got so upset when she told me that because I thought they might help my back pain, but no :( My back is so touchy where I have the compression fracture that Jerome can barely touch that spot. he rubs the BenGay or whatever he's rubbing on very gently.

Have you tried BenGay or Biofreeze? They may help your back pain.

I gotta go for now. I hope you're all having a low pain night.

love and hugs
Loretta

Hi Loretta,

Just checking in on you to see if you are feeling better. These back issues can be so horrible...especially when they get the nerves pinched or the muscles all tightened up!

I hope yours is much better today and that you rested well.

Morning Loretta! I just read your post, and wanted to pop in and say I'm sorry you are having such a tough time of it there. I took a few days off from the forum, but I'm back to support again.

Did you ever get in to see about the mass on your lung yet? I'm willing to bet the AC has been a blessing to you as well. Hopefully it has allowed you to sleep better.

 Take care,

Hey Loretta, sorry to hear things are going so rough for you right now. I am sure you knew it was going to rain long before it happened since out bodies are like human barometers.

I have question for you. Several months back T thought I read a post of yours saying something about you needing CT Scans or MRI was it of the lungs, something had shown up on a chest xray? Did you ever get these done and what was the outcome?????

Take care. l

Hi everyone. Thank you so much my dear friends/family. I know I can always count on all of you to be here for me.

Michael I slept so long today (til 3pm) and before I knew it, it was too late to call anyone. I tried to call my pcp to get my patches and oxycodone refilled. I thought it was 3:30 and it was 4:30 :( I was so frustrated. I found a paper that came from the pulmonology docor, so i think I can now call the drs office and ask for more paperwork and call the place I got the catscan done at and request another CD.

AAARRRRGGGG it's so overwhelming. You just wouldn't believe how many doctors I need to make appointments with,

Susie I did have the two MRIs done. One of my thoracic spine and one of my lumbar spine. I have to call the neurosurgeon that i saw before to interpret the MRIs. I also had a catscan done because when they done the first MRI of my thoracic spine, they saw a mass on my left lung. I had the catscan done the same day as the MRIs. The catscan showed the old mass and two more.

I'm really scared about this because I never have smoked. I have heard since the scan that lots of non smokers are getting lung cancer because of pollutants in the air and other carcinogens? that we breathe in. I just hope and pray that everything turns out ok and that it's not cancer. I'm really glad you asked because I've been needing to get this off of my chest, and didn't want to aggravate you all with it.

Thank you all so much for listening/reading. I love you all like you're part of my real family. You all take care. My back is still hurting so bad. I'll be glad when it decides to slow down, I hope you're all having a low pain night.

love and hugs
Loretta

Loretta, I am still not clear here, have you gone to the specialist or not to find out what the masses are? If not, I implore you to make the appt and get this taken care of. Sitting and procrastinating about will do no good what so ever.

I understand your fears, I lost my mother to lung cancer, But again, you have no clue what these masses are, if they something that has grown slowly or are they a fast growing, this is why it is so important that you get into the right dr ASAP. It is not going to go away be ignoring it.

Please call and make the necessary appts, you really need to get a handle on this.
