We have the remnants of Tropical storm Lee. He has been visiting since Tuesday. I wish he would go home.
The rain just keeps falling, has been falling for days. Tuesday we had a high of 60, yesterday 67, and today we have only hit 67 degrees. I am not used to such rapid temperature changes. My bones and joints are protesting, and the increased pain from the Lupron is not helping that pain. I have bundled up in my comfy fleece blanket with warm tea and hot apple cider all day.
The boys also shared their summer illness with me two weeks ago. The coughing and sneezing pulls on the pelvic adhesions which increases the normal pain levels. I am ready for that ick to be over. My fiance caught it right after the boys, and Mom is always the last to have it. It seems like with the CP and related medical issues, the colds and flus all last longer.
We are at 29 days until the wedding. The only things left are small things, like putting something pretty on tote bags that I decorated with their monograms and put their crocheted shawls in. Wrapping the gifts for them, groomsmen, parents, and friends helping with so much. We have a few appointments here and there for alterations and tuxes, finalizing the ceremony, stuff like that.
My fiance has noticed that I get more work done on my laptop when reclining. He had the idea of a lap desk, until he saw how much they can cost. He came up with the idea to make one here from a wooden plank we had for a craft, fabric, and bean bag chair filling. Our project this weekend is to create that together. I am looking forward to it. We have deliberately kept every weekend this month open to spend as a family just to keep the sanity as long as possible. Most of what I am worried about is staying on my feet that long and dancing with my soon-to-be husband. Keeping my fingers crossed that no more medical issues come up in the next 29 days.
