So, I had surgery on the 7th and my arm and hand are still wrapped up. I go to get the stitches and staples out on Tuesday...but I just couldn't stand it anymore. I had to unwrap it and check it out.

I have 3 stitches on my upper palm from the trigger finger and 4 stitches on my lower palm from the carpal tunnel, Ok that's pretty much what I expected.

I have 17 staples on the inner part of my arm from the cubital tunnel shocked
I was shocked. I didn't expect that big of an incision! I guess I should of asked more questions or listened better. Wow.

I hope you are all doing well and that you had a great weekend! Thanks for letting me freak out on here for a minute...lol
Gentle Hugs,
Shannon

I sure hope it's all mending good for you. At least on Tuesday you
can ask the questions why it took so many staples...make
sure to take someone with you to your appointments as there is always
something we forget, another person with you can help with that.
Many well wishes to you on Tuesday and I hope everything heals
nicely for you, so you can get some pain relief...
Post back when you can, thinking of you...
healing hugz

Wow ,thats is alot of stiches !I hope your feeling better ,it will still take a bit of time to heal!I think your right about asking more ?.Its a good idea to make a list of ? to ask ,as appointments can be rushed at times .I had surgery on both hands and my incision was small? I know once it heals the scar gets smaller.I realize there is still pain/itchiness,but besides thats are you feeling better ? Its nice to know at least one medical issue has cleared up for you ,it will make life alittle easier! Iget surgery in 7days ,to remove a rib ,it takes 2months to heal, but like yourself that will be one less medical issue for me to deal with ,the other problems are chronic but easier and less painful than thoracic outlet syndrom! I'm happy your surgery went well take care ,from Michele

Thank you guys for your well wishes. I am feeling alot better and I get the stitches and staples out today...yay! Although I am a bit nervous that it is going to hurt some at least they will be out.

I will also find out today if I will be having to do PT. I can't straighten my ring finger all the way and have some issues with my elbow too so I think they will probably have me do some anyway.

I hope you are doing well and having a good week so far...take care.

Hi Shannon....Just wondering how you are doing with your staples out now. I know that probably hurt, getting the staples out...but I bet will start to feel so much better now.

Lol, I would freak out, too, if I wasn't expecting that many staples! So I do hope you are doing ok.....Let us know!
