Once again, thanks all for taking the time to write. Update: I had to go to the ER yet again yesterday to bring my pain levels down (my fifth visit since going off pain meds); I wait until I don't feel I can or want to live anymore and I go to the ER to get relief. Thankfully, I'm getting to be a familiar face at the ER and I am well treated, I get no hassle, actually a lot of sympathy and get to lay there for six or so hours until my pain has reached a tollerable level and I can go home and sleep. I've been very up front with the ER staff and have told them I would not go to the ER if my pain was manage effectively, but I have no options at this point. Isn't it ironic that I can get IV narcotics by just going to the ER, but no one will prescribe me the Percocet I use to take (and very rarely had to use the ER); maybe it looks better to the DEA, but what a hassle this type of pain management is and what a cost it must be!
