Hi all...

Where is the BEST place to find out what the cash price would be for an RX?
I currently take ms cotin (moraphine) and been on it for 2 years. It's just not helping anymore. I have an appt with my DR Monday and need to discuss this with him... My only issue is... I have no insurance....
So having to pay cash every month is so hard.
Or.... Does anyone have ideas on pricing? Or what is cheapest?
Thanks guys, really appreciate it!!

Donna,
I too do not have prescription insurance so I can totally relate the difficulty paying outta pocket. Until my doctor settled on what I am currently on (oxycodone) he was constantly trying different things which cost me a fortune!! one month i spent $1000 on pain medicine alone, RIDICULOUS!! Anyway, back to your question, I have had very good luck with a locally owned pharmacy where I live, he was actually about $60 a month cheaper than the box pharmacies, you might try asking your doctor about pharmaceutical programs to help people like us, I was on one when I was taking oxycontin, it saved me $70 a month. Good Luck!

My problem here is that I pay this outta my pocket, my hubby has NO idea... If he knew I was on meds, unfortunately, he would say he needed some.. So I keep it hidden.. (I know how bad that sounds)

And since I am unemployed, it is all I can do to get the $100 or so per month I need.. ($5 here and there adds up)

Guess I'm just stuck. I will talk to my dr on Monday. Just frustrating that I cannot get any medical assistance...
Thanks for listening guys!

Thanks Eagle!!

So went to Dr this am..... He is keeping me on the same meds... Same strength... We just dropped the hydrocodone...(wasn't helping)
But he did add on something for the bladder issues.. Hoping it will help.
He also wrote me 3- one month scripts in advance for the ms contain and authorized call in refills for one year!!! WOW now I don't have to go in every 3 months!! Just call up and they will write them!!
I thought the government was getting strict, but guess not on him... I'm so excited that I don't have to go in every month or every 3 months!!
Well, hope I get manage to get by on the same dosage...
Thanks for listening guys!!

Hopefully what your doc has done for you will help. I only have to see my pain doc every six months, so I did know that it was possible to not have to see a doctor at least one a month or every 2 or 3 months as others have said. I do believe it is up to the docs discretion, though.
