about a month ago, my back gave out. All I did was pick up my cat. It lasted over a week. I was in a lot of pain. Ok, so last night, I got up from the couch, and it happened again! I do that all the time, but for some reason, it hit me this time. What causes this?

                Hello Potsie!

Well there are a number of things that make your back feel like it has given out, but I thought this site might be a good one for you, to explain it better than I can.

Sorry your having this problem, and it sounds like it's time to get it checked out by a DR. I went like this for several years before it became a constant source of pain.

     Take care,

Thanks Screaming Eagle! Fortunately, I go to my new primary doctor on Weds, so this happened just in time. They'll be able to see my pain. I'll check out the link you gave me.
