2 more days to go! I feel like shouting it from the top of the Appalachian mountain near my home, but I wouldn't make it to the top. I wouldn't even make it on the trail today.

I got my trigger point injections in an attempt to have as low a pain day as possible for Friday, and they worked, but I didn't get ice on them soon enough yesterday. Now my right side has swelled bigger than it was with just the ovarian cyst creating its own swelling. Oh well.

My dress is a little baggy at the waist and hips. I no longer need to use shapewear under it. I stopped trying to lose weight about 2 months ago and now the weight is coming off without wanting it to. It was good though, because I haven't had to worry about what I have been eating as much, which is nice.

Everything important is done. Tonight is my girls' night for manicures, tomorrow rehearsal, and all the work was done last week. My fiance took off Thursday to do the honeymoon packing, last minute running that may need done, and to provide me a day of quiet with him before all the craziness of a traditional wedding with our families descends. His sister is still creating issues for his mother, but stopped calling us. They are silly things too that should have been taken care of well before now if she had issues. His mother keeps telling her to call her brother, but so far, she has not graced us with a phone call. Its all things we can do nothing about now!

I am excited and yet disappointed that I am not where I want to be pain-wise. It could be worse. My sons are home today...Their school district gave them an ACT 80 day in the middle of the week. Blessed to have the quiet time with them today.

So how do others handle their pain when an important event comes up? What do you do or use for your medications when traveling long distance? Also, any advice on ways to get this pain under control today so I am not crying during my manicure? I am taking my soft tushy pillow in case they don't have comfy chairs, but I fear my girlfriends are paying for a pedicure for me as a treat. I have never had one, but the chairs look like torture chairs.

I hope you are all blessed with low pain days!
Prayers and hugs for all!
Mindy

Mindy, congratulations. You will have a wonderful day no matter what your pain level. I think it is very smart you have set aside some quiet time before things get crazy. Enjoy your big day!

When I travel with my meds, I take them in the original bottles and pack my pill organizers and fill them when I get to my destination. When I stay in hotels, I put my meds in the hotel safe.

Where are you headed for your honeymoon?

Wishing you a low pain day for your wedding day, and a beautiful wedding.

Thank you Heather Lynn and Loretta. One more day! My fiance and I are hanging out together today for quiet time without my sons.

That is a great idea to do Heather Lynn! I would never have thought about the hotel safe. My main concern was not having them stolen. We are heading to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia for natural hot mineral springs, couples' massages, whirlpool baths in the mineral water, and the Apple Butter Festival. My fiance is pumped about being able to stir huge cast iron cauldrons of apple butter, winetasting, and massages. I have been there before, before my pain became unmanageable, and it was a lovely time. Awesome food, great out of the way location (mountain side), and a cute little town that I can easily walk through from end to end. Our room has a whirlpool bath that the mineral springs are pumped into. I can hardly wait to show him the place!

Even if I don't have a low pain day, my bridesmaids took me for a manicure and pedicure last night. That was relaxing! They have a plan! Massages first thing in the morning for me and my fiance, a very comfortable chair for my hair, our lunches delivered to our room, and a very clean, very comfortable reclining chair going with us everywhere for the photos. Our hotel venue knows about my issues and has provided some very nice extras for me to have a better time.

Thank you both again. I am so excited! My sons look so handsome in their tuxes. I just know I am going to cry.

I will be back on Monday evening, so when I get some energy I will post and hopefully have a few pictures to share!

I hope everyone has low pain days this weekend!

           Good Morning Mindy! wink

I wanted to Congratulate on your upcoming BIG DAY! tongue   It would be nice if we all could be there for you, however that is quite impossible given our health issues. We will be there in Spirit though! wink

When I got married this last time, I did not feel well myself, but I found that sometimes "adrenaline" will kick in, and override some of the pain and health issues. Just make sure you get a good nights rest, if you can, and enjoy your day!

We expect to see photos afterwards you know! smilewinkgrin

Have fun, be safe, and above all make sure you both say "I Do!" tongue

Bless you on your special day!
