Hi Chart and all of my CP family

I just got my internet turned back on this afternoon. As you might rember I sold my house and moved in to a rental the first part of June. Well the house I moved into, I soon discovered  had some major problems, and my landlord was not much on fixing them! I put up with, having to put a bucket on the kitchen table to chatch the water dripping from the ceiling when it rained really hard. After all we did have a very dry summer, at least the middle and last half of it. But besides that, half of the burners on the electric stove did not work, plus several of the ceiling light fixtures! Well since thiis was only to be a short term rental, I just worked around these things. Then  a couple of months or so ago I found a wet spot of the carpet  on the hall way floor going into my bedroom. I thouth at first Pumpkin had a accident, but after cleaning it up, it just reaappeared, and over time got bigger, I contacted the landlord about, and he said he would get it fixed. Well that was back in August, apparently there is some type of leak in either the water pipe of sewer, and there is no access to getting at these pipes! So as of this time  it has not been fixed and  the floor started getting really soft, and I was afraid I would fall through, so  I had to walk around the area, then the smell of mold and sewer started, it was so strong, especially in the bedroom that that it was making me sick and gagging me! It got so bad that I finally had to start sleeping in my  recliner on the livingroom, with all the windows open. Not a good situation at all!

Do  you see where this is heading? Smile, Finding a rental house that will accecpt my Pumpkin is difficult to impossible to find around here! But with allot of searching and a whole lot of luck, a place finally became available!  It is  a nice three bedroom house with a nice privacy fence enclosing the back yard. I found it around the 22 or so of Oct. and it was being painted and would be available on Novemeber first.  I moved in on the first, it is only a little over a mile from where I lived. But I had to do allot of scrambling to get  moved!  I am sore and the last two nights I have been up with charley horses in the back and also the  inside of my thighs, and my lower and mid back have just screaming at me! Thank God for break through pain meds.!!!

I have allot of stuff to do do, but at least I have a decent place to live now with enough room to hold all my stuff comfortably and it even has a really big covered front porch on it. Unfortunately I had to sign a lease so I will be stuck here for a year, but I do still plan on moving somewhere  where it is warmer and and near and AF base. But it will give me more time to also find another PM doctor, as that has been a very big concern for me, I see all the post that members of our family here, write about, and the treatment they are getting, and it frightens me to death! I have a PM that literally does everything, test referrals and all the different treatments, and he really cares about  the welfare of his patients! He really understands Pain! and it seems like I am extremely lucky to have him compared to so many that post here. So there is a certain amout of apprehension ( on my part)  about leaving my Doctor and trying to find somebody new!

Well Chart that is what I have been doing, it does sometimes seem, that there is always something that is popping up, to make my life just a little bit more challenging!

Thank you all for caring, it really means allot to me!

Hi Whitebeard I'm glad that you were able to find a new house to move into. How horrible to have to be living in a place with mold and the windows open.

I'm sorry you're hurting so bad. I hope you feel better really soon. I really do understand your apprehension about finding another PM doctor. I'm blessed to have my pcp that will write my scripts for my pain meds.

Take care of yourself.

love and hugs

We turned the clocks back on Saturday night and went to bed, then the phone rings
daughter (Lives north of Dallas at UNT) says her whole dorm building shook, everyone
on her floor felt it, was due to the Earthquake that hit Oklahoma, everything was
okay and we get back to sleep...at church on Sunday as services were starting
my husband cell phone rings, usually he has it turned off or on vibe, it was
our daughter calling saying she'd been in a car wreck, so I tell him go outside during the singing
to get all the info, so he comes back in and says she's okay, shook up and that
the car was damaged, so as soon as church was over, we talked her through calling insurance
and then getting a tow, she hit something on the road, unclear what, it damaged the whole front tire
wheel well, split/broke the hub cap off, and was totally un drive able...but still a shock to get a call in the
middle of church services...I'm just so glad she is okay and that Angels are watching over her...

So I'm just resting up today and all...

Chart Thanks for the update!

Wow! it is always scary to get a phone call in the night from a daughter with news like that!   I bet that really got you awake really quick! I am glad there was no damage and that her dorm and, that she is alright! You know I didn't even hear anything about that quake! Those things are scary really scary! I have been through a couple of shakers when I was stationed in California, and also while in Alaska. The worst one was when I was stationed at CCK in Taiwan, that one I was in the photo lab and it was so bad the developer and fixer was sloshing around so hard that it literally flew up out of the processing pans. We all ran out into the parking lot. And after the quake was over the ground vibrated for another 5 or 6 minutes!  It really is bad when the dry land starts acting like the ocean.  It is indeed scary stuff! What a way to woken up in church ( smile) I only sleep when the priest has a really boring homily Ha!  Anyway I have had a phone call like that while my daughtes were in college, but they were only mild fender benders with minimal damage, and it was not on a sunday morning following an earth quake! smile. I am glad your daughter is alright!

I do hope you got some some rest chart and you are having a very low pain day. I got allot of my stuff unpacked and I got my washer  and dryer hooked up and operating. Hopefully I will have this place looking like a home soon and I can get to decorating for the up coming christmas holiday.

I wish you well Chart and thanks for starting this thread, I appreciate your kind thoughtfullness!

Hey Chart & Gang! Sorry to hear about your Daughter's problems and your pains! You too WB, Geese does it ever end? As for me, I was up at my Mom's for 3 weeks w/o and cyber access! I got home almost a week and a half ago before the big storm up there in N.J. Thank God! I've been playing cyber catch up and still haven't written back to everyone although I have poked my head in a couple times to check on everyone!
As for my health problems, they have been bad but I've been at war w/ myself and evan though it's a loosing battle, I still refuse to let the pain control my life! My lower back pain is what really limits me more than anything else! I have to sit down every 2~3 minutes no matter where I am or what I'm doing! My feet are still numb w/ the right one in a lot of pain. Doc still thinks it's from my back but has offered no suggestions yet except to get a MRI which my insurance denied me last time so I haven't fought them again yet> Just to sick and tired of fighting insurance and dr's over bills and crap!
I have been fishing a couple times! If you check out my Facebook page, you can see some videos of some pretty big fish! I suffer terable afterwards but it'ws worth it!
Well thats about all from Peteworld! I'll try not to stay away so long next time!
Love All Y'all!!!
Peter the Fisherman!!!!
When I was young & stupid I broke almost every bone in my body and I'm paying a heavy price now but I'm still here and so glad to see my two sons grow up to be fine young men, both are in the Navy. I'm so proud! My biggest health problem>> I'm a certified Luny~Tune!!

Hi Pete It's good to see your post. We've missed you. I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. I hate that you have been turned down by your insurance for the MRI that you need. I know it must be very tiring having to fight your insurance so much. I hope you feel better really soon. Take care.
