I was just wondering if any of you have had issues in central Florida getting your Oxy ir 5, 10, 15, or 30 mg tablets since the new issue with all the pill mills.  As some of you know I had elevated liver enzymes possibly because of the apap in the percocet I was taking.  I was originally taking oxy ir 15mg and it worked great and best of all no apap.   Anyway,  my doc became scared because of all the hoopla with the pill mills in central fl and had me switch to regular percocet with the apap.   I was not happy but said I would try.  Now, the liver test are abnormal and have been put on hydrocodone with ibubrofren.  Now my stomach hurts.  I think this is because of the Ibubrofren.  The label says it cause cause issues with stomach.  Anyway,  I was so so so so so so so happy with the oxy ir.  No issues at all and best of all great pain relief.  I was taken off of it because of the problems in florida.  I am so hoping my doc will listen to me and put me back on the oxy ir.  Even the 5 mg is better than the other meds with the apap and ibubrofen.  Again,  have any chronic pain patients in central florida had any issues with getting their oxy ir because of the pharmacies being scared or detered by the DEA?  I am asking this because I do not want to get my doc to prescribe the oxy ir to me only to find out none of my local pharmacies have it.  Thanks and have a great pain free day!

I'm in south FL... is it a problem getting Oxycodone.... yes, every month...

I just recently stared back on Oxycodone about three months ago... I couldn't handle the pain... I'm 7 months post op and still waiting for the constant aching pain to go away.... will it ever I wonder?

Best bet it to in person meet with the pharmacy manager... this is what I did a while back.... she said she would always make sure to have my meds on hand (at the time it was Opana but not on that anymore... too much $$$$)

With that being said... just this month I handed my script to the woman at the pharmacy counter... she looked at the script and immediately said "oh, we don't have that here"

My reply was funny, because I got it here last month and the month before that.... she took the script told me it would be ready in 4 days... I said "fine" the pharmacy called the next day and told me it was ready...

Always something every month though... wish they would have develop a system where you were on an approved pain list with the state..... something to help those of us that need these meds to function...

Hello, I feel so sorry for those in Fla, again everyone gets penilized for the actions of a few.  I say a few because most of the people coming into the pill mills did not even live in Fla.  I heard of a flight out of West VA. that was called the oxy express, as I think I read this plane ran 24-7.
I also read people coming in from Kentucky, Tenn, and other place once word got round.
Although I do not believe for a minute that the state of Fla, only became aware of the pill mills due to the media.  I believe some money had to be exchanged at a high level in Fla politics.  Its not possible they did not know anything about them.  But money was spent in the state of Fla, and I believe that had the media not been nosing around for there documentaries.
Now you the people who depend on these meds to have a good quality of life are punished.  I suggest you fight fire with fire, contact your Representatives, Senate, Congress, and tell your stories.  Let the media, who I feel is the cause of all the negative positions on this problem, but remember, you vote them into office, you can vote them out.  As for the media, they need to see the faces of all of you that are negatively affected by people, who for the most part, do not live in Fla.
Take care, and good luck to you, I will be sending prayers to all who are suffering.

i hate to hear about of your constant problems to get simple pain meds. i should not say w/o evidence but maybe your doctor is afraid at attention on him for other Rx's, not yours. since your in a unsure med situation with the APAP in percocet and they cannot give you roxicodone 15 or 30mg maybe they will give you Dilaudid. the generic 4mg or 8mg is not to pricey. generic Opana IR 5,10mg are on the market now. best wishes to you in your quest
