My psychiatrist told me that my condition came about from living in a cultural void for too long:

The issue is associated with problems in acculturation:

My symptoms that I suffer from are dissociation, amongst other issues:

I am here to heal, support others in a similar boat. I am here to understand and be understood. I am here for support and nurturance. But I have a feeling most people won't acknowledge my condition.

Hi Cultural, please take a look at the forum rules here at healing Well. We are not allowed to post studies here at the forum, thank you.

Hi Cultural and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I did edit your original post above and took out the information about studies that have been done as that is against the forum rules to post that sort of information. You may not be aware that this forum does in fact have rules and is moderated.

I read a bit about your condition and was totally confused as one talked about it being a heart condition and the other one talked about other stuff. I think the best thing you may want to consider doing is write a short note about what is going on with you instead of posting links.

If you have read any of the posts here at the chronic pain forum you will have seen the people on here suffer from a variety of symptoms which has resulting in being left with chronic pain. Some have had different types of surgeries, accidents that resulted in being injured and that sort of thing. Do you suffer with chronic pain? The more info you can give us about yourself the better.

Take care.

Thank you for welcoming and explaining.

Is the 'Chronic pain' section only for those suffering from physical pain? Where would one go if one is a chronic sufferer of emotional and mental pain?

Hello CulturalVacuum!

Welcome to the CP forum!

The answer to your question ….is Yes!…this forum is for patients and or families of those who suffer from Physical Chronic Pain.

However we do have a Depression forum that may be of some interest to you. Maybe one of the members there can visit with you about your condition. I have also read up on some of the description of your condition, and am not familiar with it. You might want to keep searching the web for other sites that deal with this.

Take care,
