Flower,

Just was thinking of you! I know your baby is due any moment, isn't he? (Forgive me, my memory is shot)! Just wondering how you are.... and I pray that these last weeks go by quickly for you... and that you have a safe and easy delivery.

Take care, hon. --Tina

Sure hope you are doing ok Flower. What is your due date. I hope you are able to come and post. Do you have a laptop that you can use while in bed? I was wondering if you would like to join our cp facebook page? It would be great to have you there, or if anyone wants to join, just send me an email.

Take care Flower and prayers for you to have a smooth delivery.

Depression is gone, but pain persist. shakehead How are you coping?

Flower, my daughter-in-law made her own baby wipes and saved a bunch of money by doing this. One of her mom friends passed along the recipe at her baby shower & they were great. If I remember right it was made out of different baby lotions & some other baby stuff. Very gentle on tender skin too.

Take care.

Thank you Tina, and everyone else for this thread. I'm just seeing it now. I'm doing okay. My due date keeps changing, lol...but basically he should be coming any day now.

Tina, how are you doing? How are your little ones?

Suzane, thanks...I'm probably one of the only people who don't use FB, lol! Thanks for thinking of me.

SE--I'm happy your depression is better...so sorry about the pain:( It's never-ending, huh?

Thanks for thinking of me, Chart and Mindy:)

Straydog--that's a great idea. Wipes are expensive. I'm going to go look up a recipe online:)

Basically...my pain has been SO much worse. I don't sleep much. I sleep in one hour spurts. I had no idea that the end would be this tough. I'm having tons of nausea/heartburn again, and just feeling all over terrible. But I know that the end is in sight, and I'm excited to meet him. Please keep me in your prayers for a safe delivery/c-section. Doc said I may have to have a c-section, so we'll see. I'll find out more next week. I am terrified of both delivering naturally and surgery, so I really need prayers.

Thank you again. I left all of my passwords with my husband so he can update when our little one comes. Love you all!

Flower!

I've been waiting to hear from you :) I will pray for your safe delivery and baby's arrival. I know the anxiety - especially when it's your 1st and you have no idea what to expect.... I know, though, you'll do just fine... and soon you'll have that sweet little guy in your arms.

The pain and sleep deprivation at the end is rough. Hang in there, hon.

Can't wait to hear the good news. Many hugs and many prayers.

Love, Tina

It sounds trite but when you hold your baby the first time, the world and all its pain just disappears and all you know is love and adoration.

I hope delivery goes well..will remember you both in my prayers

Hi Flower
Nice to hear from you. I hope your day comes soon. When do you see your OB doc?

Can you refresh my memory (it's nil) as to what your chronic pain issues are?

Sending you hugs, love and prayers for a safe delivery. Have you chosen a name yet?

Flower....

Good to hear from you. I know how hard these last days are. You'll make it; you are a strong woman!

Side note - if you end up w/ a c-section.... USE the pain meds, lol! The more you stay on top of the pain, the quicker you'll recover, I promise. If you have any other questions, ask away.

Many hugs, hon. --Tina

Thank you again to Betsey, Suzane, Tina, Amy, and Bayoub. I'll take as many prayers as I can get:)

Tina,

You mention pain control after a c-section. I'm still not sure if I'll have a c-section, but do I bring my pain medications to the hospital to take, or will they give me other pain medication?

Also, if I have a c-section, do you know what they usually do for pain control afterwards?

Thanks:)

Praying, praying!!

Re: pain medications.... in all my hospital experiences (both baby-wise and other) - I've never brought my home medications. They will give you what you need afterwards for pain control in the hospital. The "usual" thing is IV meds for the first 24 hours or so after a c-section (morphine or dilaudid) and then they'll gradually put you over to oral meds (usually Percocet). That being said, someone w/ CP can take longer to transition....

The same thing, though, for a regular delivery. If you need it - you'll have pain meds offered to you (again, usually, Percocet)... and Motrin... etc.

Of course, in the irony of life - with my first, we skipped the c-section night of Lamaze... thinking that wouldn't happen. Well, I labored for 16 hours... and, of course, ended up having a section - followed by 6 more (ummm, I don't endorse this for anyone!).

Something I can promise you is this - however baby comes into the world.... those memories fade once baby is here and in your arms. :)

Let me know if you have any more questions... I'm happy to share my one area of expertise - lol.... and, of course, you have my e-mail. And I'll be stalking the board to read about your delivery when it happens! lol.

Hugs! -Tina
