Anyone have bladder and nerve problems with their system? I'm just starting the process for removal...I have contacted a pain center and am waiting.. I'm sure I will have to see doctors and go through testing..I have already called Medtronics.. My machine was implanted for the secong time in 2006--which lasted a few months..I have had this implant in me for years now with no medical doctor or pain management..I also became med free..I have been having issues--machine popped out of pocket more--it is uncomfortable whn banging it...The battery was due for a change...I unfortunately went on Disability and not many doctors accept insurance and I do not have 600 a pop to see the dr..Long story--but was wondering what kind of complications people r having...I know about lead shift--misaligning--stem going somewhere else--any help and advise is helpful...I'm in Ct...Thankyou...Robin

Hi Robin and welcome to the chronic pain forum. From what I have read here at the forum people have a difficult time finding a dr that will remove the entire unit. They say its because of all the scar tissue that is involved. At best there are some people that did get the leads only removed.

I am not clear about your question regarding bladder & nerve problems. Are you saying the unit may have caused these problems or what?

We have a search feature here at the forum and it is located at the top right of this page. If you will go there & type in SCS units you should find a good deal of info there about the units as they are discussed here quite frequently.

Anyway, I wanted to pop on an tell you welcome aboard. Take care.

Hi Robin~

I also wish I had some answers for you but this isn't something I've dealt with personally. We do have many members who have Medtronics so I'm sure some will be along for comments. I do hope you can get some help soon. One thing to consider is to contact the Medtronics company. Often medical related companies have funds for helping people who need it. Doesn't hurt to ask.
