going to Dr this morning to discuss that my meds don't last 12 hours and BT meds. I really really hope he helps me and doesn't make me go to a PM. (he is just a GP)..... I get really nervous talking to him, so hope I can stay strong. Maybe everything will work out cuz it's my birthday :)

Also, finally got the patient assistance paperwork for the new meds.... Nervous though cuz it wants my 1040... Haven't done 2011 yet, so what, have to submit 2010??? Then they WILL deny me.... UGH!!! Plus, it says can take average 6 weeks!!! Great!! Two BIG obsticals right off the bat!

      Hello Donna!

Let's hope he will at least bump you to X3 on your Oxycontin. I believe you will get better around the clock coverage this way. However, do try and stay on the lowest dose you are comfortable if you can, and a BT would be nice as well for those times that your in a flair.

Good luck, and we wish you well today!

Hi,

I'd wait on that paperwork until I had my new taxes done! You don't want to be denied because of old information and you know how that works..

Anyway, I hope your Dr apt went well! Please update us if you get the chance and feel like it. We all care!

Hi guys,
Dr apt was crazy. Started off with results from my last UA. At the time I was on ms contin & oxycodone.... My UA showed hydromoraphone (dilauded)and he freaked. Luckily I did my research prior but still took an hour to find it and prove that moraphine metabolizes into a small amount of hydromoraphone). He was really quite rude at first, cuz he said he even consulted with his clinic pharmacist and even he said I shouldn't be showing that.... Proved him wrong!! Iit was listed in the Interagency guidelines for opIoid dosing for non-cancer us patientents.

IF I would not have been able to prove myself, he would have kicked me out and never treated me again! SOOOO glad I was able to show I didn't do Anything wrong!

So, he lowered my dose of the new oxycontin but upped it to 3x day. Very excited!! Unfortunately, no break thru :(

As for the patient assistance, I explained the situation the the lady helping me, and I'm supposed to submit 2-3 months of unemployment stubs and a letter stating that the reason I am doing this is I have not completed 2011 taxes and from 2010, our income Signifantly changed and we no longer make $ like we used to...

I really hope that works! My only other thing is they say it can take up to 6 weeks..... The dr wrote next script for 2/8, but that has to be submitted with the assistance paperwork.... So.... What do I do? Just be Out till they approve? Idk... Gonna call assistamce lady again today and discuss....
